I'm not sure Oscar De La Hoya should ever be described as "one of the greatest ever", but he gets a lot of unnecessary flack on ESB. The guy was such a draw, he could have fought C level fighters and made millions, but he fought the best of his era. Hopkins, Trinidad, Mayweather, and the list goes on. Fact is, as honorable as his resume undoubtedly is, he still lost most of his big fights. That is why I don't consider him "one of the greatest ever", but he'd clean up at 147lb today.

Yeah he was pretty unique in that he fought anyone. Had some dodgy decisions for and against him but he was great.

I would also have Manny Pacquiao ahead of Oscar De La Hoya.

De La Hoya's best wins: Whitaker, Quartey, Vargas, Mayorga
Pacquiao's best wins: Barrera, Morales, Marquez, Hatton

Okay...Wont get into it to much especially if you are a PAC fan but.....
Quartey was a real impressive win for DLH vs a prime Ike...

Marquez win for Pac is very questionable...I did have JMM winning the 2nd
and most had JMM winning both...
Morales was shot even when EM beat Pac he was on his last legs there..
1st Barrera was good but not better than DLH vs Ike.
Hatton already damaged goods and was already exposed by PBF..

I guess i did get into it but as a boxing fan DLH was much better its just
    the facts....Nothing personal aiight. :thumbsup

You can also question delahoya's win over quartey. It was a close fight and many thought ike should have won the fight. Obviously golden boy was very popular back then so he got the decision. It was a closer fight than the judges scorecard of 116-112 and 116-113.
