POW, you're a good poster, and I don't want to come across like I'm picking holes in your arguement, but I think Dan deserves a bit more respect than that TBH. He was in the Army for 8 years- like it or not, that in itself shows he does infact have plenty of direction and focus in his life.

Like I said Hairy - "Thats my opinion thats all"

Not like i'm expecting the lad to take my advice is it ????

Enzo Calzaghe is not a good trainer in MY opinion (also a lot of others will agree too). Rees and Pryce were found out against decent fighters and were given no common sense in the corner and no gameplan to work there way out from the jaws of defeat. Enzo Mac didn't spar for the olafobi fight FFS WHAT MORE PROOF DO YOU NEED. Calzaghe Snr fully expected Enzo mac to beat Haye ???? Even Enzo Mac knew he didn't have a chance. what kind of coach puts him in there like a lamb to the slaughter.

Just look at the way Joe Calzaghe cannot do the simplest fundamentals properly. He throws punches like an amateur and his defense was woeful at times. Joe had a fantastic boxing brain and adapted mid fight himself (no better example than the kessler one mate) and had the a superb work rate coupled with fantastic stamina. he'd have been with a coach who wasn't his old man (with no previous boxing experience) he could have been so so so much better.

The one thing Calzaghe Snr could pride himself was getting his lads into shape....look at the way all his fighters (bar joe) gassed in their losses.

POW - mate we all know your a calzaghe nuthugger and trawl threads looking to either defend them or back them up. What has what i've done got to done with anything ? were all on a boxing forum to discuss boxing. I did a little boxing, was ok. never good enough to be a pro which is why i'll always be respectful to them when they come on here (like I was to bradley). Apart from boxing i've done a hell of a lot and probably more than you could imagine... Have you ? does it matter ?

I would consider myself an objective Calzaghe fan to be honest and can understand criticism of him.... and get this, even criticize him myself so stop spouting comeplete nonsense. To call him a "fraud" is just plain ridiculous and doesn't really lend itself to letting me respect your opinion from the start.

Dan put that in, jokingly, because I was talking about how good Calzaghe was in the Choi thread. - I put 'JC > Glass Jaw Roy' in response, even though I don't think that way, just a joke not to be taken too seriously :good

I dont think this is part of Dans dislike of joe as a fighter (its a running joke how much dan likes joe), nothing to do with respect etc
