i hear you on that one... just re october... the wba gave three dates and the dublin one was sept 26th- talking to the thai camp the contract they got was for sept 26... so i cnt see that changing??? What your reckon paddy??? you dnt reckon he is jst saying oct to slow ticket sales in the north-get Dubs saying ah if Dunne might be on on oct i wnt be able to afford a northern trip hence affect ticket sales?
Hello Jonny, the ticket sales for Rogan/Sexton won't be effected by Peters supposed plotting. I purchased seven tickets today and could only get them at 33 pound each, the 27.50s are all gone. Although there is a large banner outside the Odyssey Arena advertising the fight, there has been no large scale poster campaign. Basically the fight is selling itself. Somewhat disappointed if Paul McCloskey does not box for the European title on the Dunne undercard, but on the plus side it probably means the fight will take place in Belfast.Hopefully Peters is in negotiation with RTE to show both cards.
Is he is obliged to run x amount of shows there? It would be ludicrous if he wasnt . I cant remember the last one. Anyway theres always the bingo:yep
Ya that was the last alright, Jim Rock made history winning an Irish title at a 4th different weight class that night, knocking out Jonjo Finnegan.
No Cordoba was never IBF champ, he's ranked 12th and Dunne isn't ranked cause he holds the WBA. In a way your not too far off though. think 4 lbs north and then another 4lbs after that.
Lindsay's still 6th, infact he's the only Irish fighter ranked by the IBF. Patrick Hyland and Eddie Hyland, who were supposedly promised spots inside the top 13 of the IBF rankings haven't made it into the top 15 and while I do feel sorry for both of them after being promised the spots I have to say I'm not surprised that fighting for the IBF International title hasn't got them ranked.
