After years and years of saying he would never fight outside the US (unless perhaps he got some ridiculous guarantee of $25 million) now all of a sudden he claims he's all ready and eager to go to another country and fight??

Why the change of heart? And why Danny Green??

Roy might act stupid but he knows he's not top level anymore.

But he still loves the sport and wants to get the best paydays possible. Fighting in Aus must make business sense, and its only Danny Green...

If he wants money, then the biggest possible fight he could get is BHOP, the stars have all aligned it's time for Hopkins, he knows it's the biggest paycheck too, is he that scared of bernard?

Because it's Danny Green and he must've heard that Green drew the highest gate in Australian boxing history and that includes any Fenech, Harding, Paul Briggs, Tony Mundine fight. Now granted, he was fighting Anthony Mundine, but Mundine works w/ his dad so that fight would never happen; he just went for the next highest payday and a "top" fighter he can beat. Green fits the bill

Because the majority of the Australian public are stupid when it comes to boxing. They made Anthony Mundine a multi-millionaire fighting bums. Green himself made his name, and millions too, just by publicly challenging Mundine. None of these guys have beaten an elite fighter, yet Green-Mundine was the biggest fight in Australian boxing history. Imagine how much Green fighting a living legend is going to make. Jones probably won't be able to make as much anywhere else.. unless he was fighting Mundine in Australia

Because there is the novelty of fighting in Australia, against an opponent who he see's as being beatable, making heaps of cash and the chance to win another "world title" (ibo cruiserweight).

But anyway obviously I'm gonna support Green being an Aussie, but don't count him out.. he can knock Jones into next week if he lands his power and i've never seen Green hurt by a punch- his chin is granite.

Well after being screwed out of a gold medal in the 88 olympics "outside the US" it tends to leave on sore. His change of heart is because he's not drawing anymore and he wants to set himself up for another huge payday money fight and he's willing to do whatever it takes, seeing how he's not in his prime and not as concerned about losing.

That is %100 correct on both points. People acting stupid to these known(why he preferred not to fight outside of the states) and obvious(how he's not a draw anymore)facts are doing just that. Acting stupid.:good
