Well now what happens? I'm going to assume this is at some catchweight limit. Make a pick. Didn't see the Green fight though how did he look

I have Roy winning the first 4-5 rounds quite convincingly. Before Danny starts to motor. Danny may get knocked down once or twice early. But he should come back and win in the 10th. Which will be a big big moment in Australia. And the US.

Agreed. I don't think Green is going to know what's hitting him until 8 or 9 rounds go by.

i was impressed by jones today he still posesses great hand speed which i think will be too much for danny. so even though hes hardly in his prime i still think he will be too much for danny though jeff should of probably retired when he done his rotator cuff in the tsypko fight.he has been **** ever since.

I don't know what I was thinking a few weeks back when I said Green would stop Jones. I must apologise for such a ridiculous statement! If that version of Jones turns up in November, he is going to stop green. Way to quick and his punches have a decent amount of sting on them. Would love nothng more than to see danny pull it off, but after tonight I think Roy is gonna pepper Greeny all night.

Roy should dominate Greeny quite easily.

Green looked decent today against pretty much cannon fodder so i wouldnt get too excited about his performance.

All you guys that said RJJ was shot time to own up

RJJ looked great today...... hand speed just as good as it ever was........ evasion skill 10 out of 10.....good foot work through 10 rounds even though he was happy having Lacy sitting on his chest 80% of the time.

RJJ will win every round against Green :deal

For the record I was very happy Green won today and I cheered every punch he landed :good

Come one ash..It was Jeff Lacy for christs sake.

The Roy of today has nothing on one of the best fighters I ever laid my eyes on that was crusing around 6-7 years ago.

That being said he should still beat Danny.

I haven't seen the fight - but c'mon, surely we know by now that it is not hard to look good against a fighter as limited as Lacy right??? That it's easy to look good against the poor Argy who is probably missing out on some good fares while his taxi sits in its garage?

Did Lacy show any signs of improvement to say this win means more than what we all thought it would pre-fight??

Will check it out tonight but I still think neither guy would have been truly tested tonight.

    No.
Lacy was a corpse on a string. His game plan seemed to be to get Roy on the ropes, and he did, but was terribly ineffective and was unable to wind up anything big.

Jones was simply toying with him and punching him at will. Lacy showed no signs of the explosiveness that he was known for pre Calzaghe fight.

Roy is not the old Roy. Yes he still has fast hands but his legs are gone. That's why he spends so much time on the ropes now. And it was Jeff Lacy - all washed up.

Green looked strong at cruiser although naturally he was down a little on speed. I thought he boxed a little too cute at times...he can't afford a low hand carry as he doesn't move his head that much and certainly wont be able to drop his hands against Roy.

In saying that, he has a good strong jab and that will help.

Roy will fight Green the same way...off the ropes.

Interesting atleast to see how it will play out.

Hi all, havent been on for a long time.

Now after viewing both fights today what can we really take out of it to put into a discussion about green and roy fighting eachother.......not a lot really. green fought dominguez, danny looked solid but got caught early a few times, on the plus side he picked his shots very well and did not get carried away.

Roy fought lacy, now in my view lacy's career hit a big speed hump named joe calzaghe. his game plan tonight was taylor made for roy, come in close and try and work over RJJ is not the best idea when the guy still has awesome hand speed and decent power. in saying that RJJ was solid without being brilliant.

In short green and lacy dont have a lot in common so i cant really say who would win.
