Jones despite his excellent win vs LAcy is far removed from his prime.

Jones is able to compete with B level fighters (below the top tier)

I think Kessler at this stage would be a 50 /50 match up.

Would be a great fight to see. I see Jones stopping Kessler with a body shot in 9

The moment Jones gets backed up and on the ropes is the moment he either gets KTFO, or gets the wind taken out of his sails enough for his workrate to cease up enough for him to lose every other round.

Kessler is no Jeff Lacy. He hits faster with good combinations, and is far more accurate as well as having good foot movement.

i think people are writing jones off too early against kessler.

kessler's 32 and still not proven himself against a top opponent. a lot of that is because he's isolated himself to europe and even though he's clearly skilled, he still has plenty to prove.

    You have mistaken this thread.

Marianfagetti is not a huge RJJ fan. When he joined the ESB forums he posted a huge amount of frustrated homoerotic stuff about Kessler. I'm deadly serious, he made at least a dozen posts in a row all talking about how good looking he thought Kessler was.

After being challenged serveral times we discovered that he is a homosexual who is working through a couple of issues. The hate he directs at Kessler rises from these issues. I think it boils down to sour grapes - he has an infatuation with Kessler, but resents that Kessler is not attainable.

So marianfagetti posts all these hate posts about Kessler now. He isn't a RJJ fan. He is a sexually frustrated man-*****.

I swear that Mikkel Kessler is one of the most underrated fighters on this board. Roy Jones beats a shot Jeff Lacy and that makes him a legit opponent for Kessler? It's bad enough that people think Andre Ward is going to somehow pitch a shutout against Kessler but this? :patsch
