Really? I don't see an ounce of intelligence in his game, he's just not as busy and swarming now. Still easy to hit and still gets confused when punches are coming at him. As one of the commentators said Green better tuck those elbows if he fights Jones, Jones would destroy him.

geezus, greens tomato can opponent has really showed me argentian boxers should stick to driving cabs, and as for rjj junior fight win or loose its still a loss for green, anyone with half a boxing brain knows green is chasing him so he can say he nailed rjj.
Only problem danny, your 8 years to late to really prove to anyone you beat the real rjj,he is ready to retire just like you shouldve stayed.
I beat an aussie arm wrestling champ at a charity day last year, only problem is he is now 60.
hey i still beat a champion....(as green would say).
green has never fought a kessler, calzaghe, sturm, pavlik rated fighter and he always falls on his sword when he steps it up.

    im not a newbie,just re-registered as i moved.
Also i dont need glasses to see what rjj did to lacy.
It means crap, because lacy is crap and has never recovered from his 1st loss.
Lacy is now a marcus beyer at best.

I guess you must only watch P4P greats fighting for the undisputed championship.....you must get bored 95% of the year

For the rest of us boxing fans this fight for the top 5 ranking was pretty good......nice work from RJJ besides the constant pressure from Lacy.

RJJ turned back the clock a few years for mine

I've never heard Lefty say a positive thing about any active fighter, but unfortunately the guy is often right. Green has uncanny timing when his opponant is coming forward or has an uncomplicated style. But as Lefty mentions there isn't many tricks to his game and he struggles with speed and movement, and doesn't see punches coming early. When Green gave up his swarming style he gave up his key advantages IMO. The high elbows thing has always been a issue for me and they seem to be getting higher as he gets older. Beyer made him pay badly for that in the second fight. Having said that, when the guy is fit, strong and sharp he can force his will on the other guy. The re-birth of RJJ comes to an abrupt end in the 8th. Green KO8.

So what are you saying then, that Tarver, Johnson and Calzaghe are simply just better fighters than RJJ? Big call.

Green is probably a little better than Lacy, but its marginal. They both have similar styles and lack a solid plan B.

Your right Green has looked sensational in his last 2 fights, the weight is obviously kind to him, as well as his opponents. However he also looked great before the Beyer fights and the Mundine fight. If those fights have taught me anything its that he does not have the smarts to outbox a boxer, a quality boxer will eat him up as he only knows one way. Against a brawler or a puncher I would give him more of a chance. Against even a declining RJR I would say wide points decision. Greens only chance is to catch Jr with a big bomb.

If he wins it will be a momentus occasion for Australian boxing, if he losses I for one do not want to hear any of the excuses.
