I think Tyson wouldn't have taken Foreman as lightly as he did Buster Douglas, therefore I think Tyson would have atleast decisioned him.

Tyson's defence took a leave that night.

If Buster was able to punch Tyson time after time, I thin that Foreman would have been able too... and Foreman hits way harder than Buster

Foreman stops Tyson during the 2nd half of the fight

Douglas was nearly perfect that night. Tyson was also ill perpared. If Tyson was better perpared who knows what would have happened. If the same unperpared zTyson gets into the ring with George Foreman on Feb 11 1990 who wins? I don't want to take anything away from Douglas he earned his victory that night. I think Tyson would have lost to a lot of boxers that if he was better perpared he would have beat including Foreman.

I don't know...I read articles about Tyson not wanting Foreman and Cus telling him about Foreman's style against shorter swarmers. Foreman would train and prepare well, since Tyson was the fight I think he wanted more than any other.

But I just watch 40+ Foreman and look at how often he got hit. It's just hard for me to picture him beating Tyson (70s Foreman is a different story).

Tyson would win this. Buster Douglas only beat Tyson that night by using the Muhammad Ali "stick and move" strategy. He'd attack Tyson and then jump out of the way to avoid Tyson's attacks. And Douglas was also throwing double/triple jabs. So no matter how much Tyson bobbed and weaved, at least one of those jabs would find its mark.

Buster Douglas beat Tyson that night only because of his strategy and athletic skills. I think the old, slow Foreman of 1990 would have been massacred.

Tyson's so called fast hands and head movement usually left after he was hit once and realized that the fighter he was fighting wasnt afraid of him. That is why he lost to Buster Douglas. Foreman had a better jab than Douglas hit alot harder and had a better chin. Foreman was hit alot by Holyfield but so was Tyson. So why put down Foreman for being hit?

Tyson knew his own abilities better than you people which is why he avoided Foreman liked the plague. Tyson would **** his pants and be knocked out in 5 rounds or less.

Tyson NEVER wanted this fight. He would have been manhandled and speared endlessly until the boom came down later in a match that would have all that back then made excuses for Tyson...wetting their knickers.

The problem with the slugger beats swarmer myth is that Tyson had no problem firing punches at distance. Tyson won plenty of fights by lunging in with two of three punch over and over.

I want to add that I think the Tyson who fought Henry Tillman, Alex Stewart and Donovan Ruddock would have probbaly have beaten Foreman.

it has been frequently said that tyson didnt want to fight an old foreman. but honestly, on paper, tyson should be able to beat and old foreman badly as foreman was just too fast and slow. douglas boxed the prefect fight against tyson, who apprently forgot he had to fight that night. tyson most likely, wouldnt take foreman as lightly. go with tyson by kate ko. of course this is negating the fact that tyson apprently didnt wan tto fight foreman to begin with

I agree. Foreman was nowhere near as fast or as mobile as Buster Douglas, and he couldn't throw combinations like Buster did. The fight would have been completely different than the Tyson/Douglas fight. Tyson was too fast, too sharp, and hit too hard to lose to any version of comeback George Foreman. Even the Tyson of the Douglas fight would have been too much for George. But GEorge would have made a nice payday!
