If PW will fight like he did against Wright then he will be the one who will be stopped! He has poor defense! Pavlik will just catch him eventually!

If Pavlik can't enforce his size, strength and power then Williams is a bad style for him.

I have to disagree here. Williams does not box and move. He stands still, gets off, then maybe hops around a bit. That's not really "moving". The point is that he stands still while he's open to punches, which means Pavlik can hit him.

Not a good thing if Pavlik and his fans are relying on power and williams untested punch resistance at the higher weights to win this fight. Speed triumphs over power many the time but then again Williams speed isnt that too greater than Pavlik's.

I'm so happy Pavlik fans mostly Boo thinks that if Williams throws more punches then he'll get ko badly. Good i want him to think that cause after Williams beats Pavlik with throwing alot of punches, boo will realize Pavlik is really 1 dimensional. :)

:cool:Thanks! thats interesting, the size of Taylors arms? Goddamn!! with his speed and skills, he would be perfect apart from his dodgy engine.

Williams has turned down Pavlik in the past apparently, he must feel more confident about his chances now:think

Miranda, Taylor & Hopkins could not stop Pavlik so I do not envisage a TKO for Williams in this one, but I think Paul will win quite comprehensively! Paul has advantages in height & reach, is a southpaw, & can dig!

It will be interesting to see how Williams goes about his business. Whether he decides to box or try to meet fire with fire? Either way, I think Williams wins a UD!

a guy who is willing to stand and trade is never going to be "all wrong" for pav at mw. ever. pav has very heavy hands, knows how to use them and can take a punch. all this is evidenced by the fact that despite his alleged very limited skill set he has stopped every mw ever put in front of him. that doesnt mean pav will 100% win the fight but standing and throwing punches in bunches is not pav's kryptonite.

Williams would be foolish to bang it out with Pavlik he'll outland him for sure though.

No, PW outlanding Pavlik is buy no means a sure bet. Williams misses people that are standing completely still! In addition, every Williams opponent all the way back to Margarito found Paul with left hands, and PW has NEVER faced anyone with a left hand like Pavlik's. Furthemore, Williams makes a ton of offensive mistakes. Mainly he drops his hands and leans in almost evertime he starts firing. Williams will not be hard for KP to hit.

He's not that bad for Kelly. Kelly is more frustrated when he is given too many angles and not fought straight up, coming forward. Guys like Edison Miranda were tailor made for him. Now, Paul Williams is no Edison Miranda stylistically, but he does tend to stand and trade much more than he should, given his physical advantages..

And that's another thing: Paul's advantage that he's had in the past has always been the fact that he outsized his opponents. Not this time.

I still think Williams has a chance to take it.. But it will NOT be easy for him.
