    Ignoring the fact that Calzaghe is retired, yes he is.

    But he's no longer the fastest in boxing.

    His handspeed is faster than calzaghe's, even at this stage and this was evident from the first few rounds of their fight. Workrate no, handspeed yes.

    Well, 3/4 of the boxers today are faster than your plaster using hero Margarito you short, skinny, halitosis breath having, 4'11, shades wearing punk who can't even beat his little brother in arm wrestling lol...

    Then what happened to his speed? Jones is not that old for boxing nowdays standards Calzague is 37 but still fast but why Jones lost half of his speed? STEROIDS ! is the answer, so stop admiring a cheater please, thank you, he must be banned and stripped from all his wins just like they did to those american track and field runners.

    Yes, definately the fastest hands in boxing...........in 2001.

    I love Roy and he looked great last night, but people are going way overboard about this. One, it was Jeff Lacy...Two, this is the first time he looked really good in like 3 years tops...And Three, THIS WAS AGAINST JEFF LACY!!!!

    Like I said, I love Roy Jones. One of my three favorite fighters all time.

    Bernard Hopkins
    Roy Jones Jr.

    But come on guys. Fastest hands in boxing??? Not even close anymore. And it saddens me to type this.

    Good post:goodI still think Jones is one of a few fighters with the fastest hands in the sport, but applying this speed against a top fighter right now won't happen.

    Think about it tho. Calzaghe didnt even have the fastest hands in boxing when they fought, and Roy was clearly slower and beated to the punch on a regular basis that night (I really hate thinking about that fight :verysad). Think of how much faster a Dawson or a Dirrell would be...

    You know what...I love Jones too much for all this negativity.
