cotto is cleary the underdog here. but what fight do you think cotto has to fight to make the upset happen. imo, cotto has to use the most visbable and only clear advantage he has, size. he has to impose his size on pacquiao, pin him against the ropes. make the ring turn into a telephone booth. and make pac fight off his back foot to take some steam off his punches. pac like to bounce in and out, he likes space to get off. and not just walk up to pac but coimg behind the jab. cotto has a pretty good jab. the only problem with his theory is that he gonna have to walk in some into alot of pac's blows before getting in close. if cotto can survive while getting in close, he got a decent shot, of not, well you know the rest. what do yall think?

    1. condition harder than he ever has in his life. i.e. LOTS of roadwork.
    2. apply A LOT of pressure every minute of the fight.
    3. cut off the ring at every possible opportunity.
    4. jab like a mother****er.
    5. use the straight right and lead with it often.
    6. don't throw bombs and go for the knockout. just hit the target.
    7. since pac likes to utilize his great footwork and move in and out constantly, timing will be absolutely critical for cotto. he really has to try and catch pac coming in as much as possible. (utilizing #5).
    8. cover up and use the gloves to block/parry often. he can't try and use head movement to stay clear of pac's shots like he did with margarito.
    9. spar with calderon as much as possible.

Go to the body early. And also unlike Margo, Mosley and Clottey, Cotto can hurt his opponent this time around. Cotto seems to get really frustraited when his oppoents
just walk through his best shots. Pacquiao can't afford to get hit cleanly and Cotto knows this.

Train hard, and early, He will be in for a rumble.

"The arrival of a conditioning coach and a nutritionist signal the start of Miguel Cotto’s full-blast training for his November 14 clash with Manny Pacquiao.

The past two weeks, Cotto has been showing up in a local gym in Puerto Rico every other day for light workouts under the supervision of chief trainer Joe Santiago, something that his team believes will help them prepare for the toughest training camp the 28-year-old Cotto will head into in the coming weeks. Their main concern about Pacquiao is the Filipino’s blinding speed"

Have several masses said, say the Rosary, and sacrifice several animals to the Roman Gods just to make sure all his bases are covered.

show up uninjured, and do what he has done in the past. No different, and he should win in 4 Rounds tops.

I still get confused on how you can say Cotto is a clear underdog. In popularity maybe, or drawing power, but not in the ring. He's a legit, hard hitting WW champion who's been in wars with the bigger men. Pac is a lot smaller than his recent opponents. Pac maybe the P4P king right now, but Cotto really is getting underrated. Pac should be the one thinking of the plan to win this more than Cotto. Im not underestimating Pac, but im not going to exaggerate basing on his great performance as of late.

you can check for yourself, majority of people are picking pacquiao. you dont have to agree with them but it clear pacquiao is the favorite. that dosent make them right.

Wreck hard to the body where Pacman is a little weak, and also use that crisp jab of his. Manny gets out of his rhythm with a good jab in his face and Cotto should use it as much as possible.

jab, jab, and more jabs. pac has no defence against it.
