Roy Jones Jr. vs. Danny Green

Roy will dominate Green. He looked the best he has in years in his last couple of fights. Still has the fastest hand speed at his weight, and the guy is 40. Sheika and Lacy are nowhere near elite but there not bad fighters either.

 

To be fair I reckon Danny would have KO'd Lacy, not TKO, but that doesn't mean he will beat Roy. I also think he might find himself a bit awed at the occasion if he does start to win. "I'm beating Roy Jones, suck that one Mund" BANG!

 

I hope Green proves me wrong or at least puts up a good fight. It will look bad if 40 year old Roy comes down here and dominates one of our top fighters.

 

Just watched some highlights of the fight again and when RJJ lets his hands go in combos he still has one of the fastest sets of hands in the business.

I just think RJJ will make Green look like Lacy.

I will be cheering for Green and hope he can land some telling shots and KO RJJ.....however RJJ should win by very wide UD.

 

RJJ will probably still have enough to beat Danny.

But lets not act as though Green and Lacy are the same kind of fighter.

Green holds clear advantages in height and reach over Jeff..He is much more of a standup boxer/stalker then Jeff ever was and is. Jeff is more of brawler/in-fighter and this gave Roy more room to work effectively.
Danny will be jabbing his way in when Roy is on the ropes, something Jeff either did not do or didnt do effectively when he attempted.

I could see this going more like the Hanshaw fight..where Roy wasnt exactly convincing against a guy not as good as Danny.

 

I wish Green good luck but...............

 

I really really really hope Green wins the fight (as much I dont think he can beat RJJ) because im hoping it will give Mundine a wakeup call to get off his ass before all his talents completely go to waste...

 

Mate when Mundine announces his next fight ESB website is going to crash from all the hits :yep

 

Unless its a fight with Pavlik i dont see it happening. But Khoder f*&ked up his chances with Pavlik a while back so there is no fight out there big enough for Mundine (bar the Ali fight )...
