Yes, Jones is too fast and with the style Pavlik has it would look very much like Jones vs Woods. There is no one left for Jones to fight except Johnson and Dawson at light heavy, and I think this Jones could beat Johnson and possibly knock Dawson out because Dawson has a fragile chin. The most dangerous fight for Jones would be Dawson, or Tarver, I don't think Jones can beat Tarver with his style and he has the best shot at Johnson or Dawson. As far as cruiserweight, he could dominate the division, I don't see anyone at cruiserweight who would be able to beat him unless by knockout.
No. Pavlik is not Lacy, Adjami, ot Trinidad. He would knock Jones out. Pavik is tall rangy and has a good jab and he would swarm Jones the way Johnson did. Jones isn't hopkins, he can't fight tactian fight the way Hopkins did and take away Pavliks right hand or jab.
NO!!! reason being . JOnes is quick but does not give the same movements B-hop does at this stage. and he spends to much time on the Ropes. which would spell hi doom. and that jab would be in his face all night long

this is a nightmare for me. rjj was my guy growing up and made me a boxing fan especially after his fight w/ toney. i am also an unashamed member of the pavlik nation. so....it seems my only answer could be to phone in a bomb threat on fight night to prevent this nightmare from happening.
If Jones tried to 'Rope-a-Dope' Pavlik... Pavlik would send the Dope through the Rope. :tired Jones doesn't have the legs to keep Pavlik away for 12 and isn't crafty enough (like Bhop) to make the subtle movement to keep Pavlik off balance and counter. In terms of boxing, both going to the HOF is about the only thing Bhop and Jones have in common at this point.
Pavlik is Roy's worst nightmare come to life at this point. In prime for prime, or legacy terms, Kelly Pavlik will never be what Roy was the night he beat James Toney. Right now, RJJ would get slaughtered. First time he tries the rope-a-dope, well, let's just say he's doing what Pavlik victims do when they're ready to die.

IMO, Jones has a solid performance against a guy whos not even a player in the division anymore (and would get knocked out by pavlik himself) and all of a sudden Roy beats Pavlik? not a chance Roy is not hopkins, and pavlik would roll him. Pavlik would walk roy down all night, the work would accumilate and he would stop roy within 12... IMO
