Let me start by saying I used to be a massive a massive ricky hatton fan starting in 2005 - 2007 but I now do not like him at all the reason being the way he treated billy graham and not defending him when floyd mayweather sr disrespected billy and also the way he never gave credit to the men that beat him , now I don't expect him to be mr nice after suffering bad knockout defeats but the man made excuse's after every fight he lost wheather it being the referee (against Mayweather) or that he trained to hard (against Pacquioa) he never once said I lost to the better man on the night or anything along those lines it was always some excuse thats why I say he's a bad sportsman, also all this about him being humble I don't why say he's so humble when I personally never heard a boxer thats meant to be humble talk about himself as much as he does about himself. here's one quote just before the Pacquioa fight "to me he's fighting an animal , he's gonna have someone all over ,head punches, body punches, loads of head movement , there one thing you think of when you think of Ricky Hatton and thats an nightmare and a handfull" and this one before the Mayweather fight "all he brings is the belt , he's crap to watch , he can't sell flys to ****, just bring the belt saturday because its going back to manchester"

this is not me being a hater its just I can't understand why people say he's so humble when he says things like this.

anyway let me know if you agree or disagree with your reasons, thank you

Money is all he thinks, hes a cashcow so it goes to his head, believing his own press clippings.

Realistically, he's been carefully managed by Warren, but he won't admit it. He's become a danger to himself.

Speaking about yourself in the third person is not a sign of humbleness.

He just got KO'd and in brutal fashion, what more can he say/do?

The man has a career and obviously wants to continue, this is his profession/job, he can't just pick up any other job when he makes a living doing this. Don't expect him to come out and say "I got iced early, I'm a hopeless case". He's still doing what all others do and continues to promote his self, that's the way it goes. The man got KO'd like never before and not close, that should be more than enough and he doesn't need to come out and downgrade his position more. It's a part of showing self respect and dignity, Holyfield always had excuses for all his losses, this is normal.

the way he treated Billy Graham..it happens in every relationship. Ricky moved on. Apparently Billy hasn't. Would you treat him the same if you were being sued by the guy?

this is true. he's become a little bit of a dick at times...which is the exact OPPOSITE of his personality. or at least the personality that people fell in love with. he's gotten cocky, whiny and bitter.

though on his website right after the pac loss he had a shitload of self deprecating jokes that were pretty all right.

Hes praised both fighters, saying he believes Floyd to be one of the greatest of all time. He said in interviews and the Floyd press conference he was beaten by the better man on the night and that he took his hat off to him. He said that he felt no shame in losing to 2 all time greats who were the best in the world too ( but admitted he felt ashamed of going out so quick to pac), hinting he may want to fight on.

I said that I don't expect him to come out being all "I got my ass whupped" but come on he never gave credit to know one that beat him and thats the truth not hating, just saying he's not as humble as people or himself makes out to be

So you were a massive Hatton fan, if by your post you meant you started liking him in 2005 let's say the Kostya Tszyu fight? and stopped in 2007? or stopped recently? just wanted to get that clear.

I heard he does still keep in touch with Billy. When he announced his new trainer in Floyd snr, he said Billy is a life long friend and it was a very hard decision for him to make, but he felt Billy was just a friend and not a trainer anymore.
