When I say "the way he went down" I mean the way he actually fell to the canvas. I wasn't referring to the sequence or the punch responsible for the fall.

Bernabe Concepcion hits damn hard, so how the **** did steve fake that. Concepcion got a free shot and landed flush, I don't see who can take a shot like that and remain standing. For someone to even ask if it was fake is straight idiotic.

    luevano is a faker.

look at his delayed reaction. luevano was looking straight at the referee and then fell down. not to mention he tries to pad his fall with his left glove.

    he's a joke.

If Steve faked that, then Bernabe is weak as ****. that is not the case Concepcion can bang and Luevano is not a granite chinned fighter.

    Absolutely not, He was KTFO.
(After the bell, But still had that been 1/2 seconds earlier Conception would be champ)

    swann,

you think luevano is a faker and a joke, i say concepcion is a total losing cheating coward whose only way to beat luevano is by a cheapshot. let's see, concepcion was getting his ears boxed off and then he had to resort to some thuggery by hitting luevano after the bell and when his hands were down! real tough of concepcion!!! :good

i listed my reasons why i thought he overreacted on the punch:

1.) he looks at the referee immediately after being hit as if to indicate "hey, he hit me late". typically when you got knocked out in that fashion, that wouldn't happen.

2.) delayed reaction after being hit. normally, a knockout punch puts you down immediately. luevano was standing on his feet for a good second, which is an extremely long time relatively speaking.

3.) he lands on his left glove first. if he was really knocked out badly, he would not have placed his glove there to support the fall.

luevano quit plain and simple. he couldn't take bernabe's power.

He took an unnecessary shot. He would not recover in 5 mins.
call it quitting if you will, I think dude got popped with a fight stopping shot.
(Had that been in the middle of the round, But it wasn't)

Conception "IF" he has anything it's a punch.
But Luevano was on his way to a boxing lesson over him.

    Rematch!

His head was turned into that direction when he got socked by a cheap shot.

Exactly the same observation I posted yesterday in another thread:

Here's why I have some thought it's an acting job  ...

    - Luevano been knocked down/floored in a fight before (at least 2 times) and he recovered well in those situations... Luevano can take that kind of punch...

    - Luevano has a delayed reaction when he decided to sit down and eventually, smoothly lie down on the canvass... Luevano's head didn't bounce off the canvass...

    - If you look closely, Luevano tried to support his "fall/sitting down" by extending his left hand trying to feel the floor/canvass first and caution his fall...

    Just what I observed tho...

But no question it's an illegal punch (tho unintentional) and DQ is the correct ruling...

He wasn't acting he was overeacting. He was down for a long time like he was dying.

If you look closely he leaned his weight against Nady so he couldnt fall that way as he was going to but fell back the other way after bumping into Nady.
The huggerism is crazy around this kid.
He would have gotten outboxed anyways. This was just another Boom Boom Bautista in the making.
I heard alot about this kid but really not impressed. Very stupid to have him thrown in against Luevano too. Luevano is a tough fight for anyone.
I remember people talking about a possible JML versus Concepcion.
I got JML all the way.
