Louis would be blown through the ropes back to the dressing room by Vitali. It's a no brainer.

I dont know, I think this "Vitali Klitschko has tons of skill" stuff is just myth-making too.
Vitali looks sloppy and clumsy in his technique to most people with eyes. He's got some skill, ie. ring generalship, but hasn't often been matched with particularly good opposition. For sure, he's got more technique than Max Baer. But really, Klitschko looks crude most of the time, he's just big.

It's strange when people criticize the likes of Jess Willard for being slow and flat-footed, standing with their hands down by their waists, with a lean-back stance, and usually just pawing with the left and maybe building up to throwing a combination of two punches ........ people scoff at that for being "primitive" and incompatible with modern boxing .......... then when Vitali Klitschko does all those same things half those people laud him for his "super skill". I just dont get it. :huh

Vitali gets starched inside the first 5 rounds. Louis wins by brutal TKO.

Louis had three fights that went the distance as Champion.
The most controversial was his points win over Walcott,in which Donovan was not involved ,.Louis had 25 defences ,only 7 of which were at the Garden. If Louis had the judges in his pocket there, why did he have his most difficult return fights elsewhere?
His second fight with Godoy was at Yankee Stadium with different judges.

Which fights were swung Louis's way by the judges or choice of referee?
Neither could do much about a clean ko could they?

Bob Pastor took Louis the route before he became champ, it would have been logical to ensure Louis had the odds stacked in his favour in the return, if your assertions are correct, the fight would have gone to the Garden with Donovan officiating but it didnt did it ? It went to Detroit.
Louis close call against Walcott in which the referee was Ruby Goldstein was followed by a rematch at Yankee Stadium. With different judges.
Your argument does not hold water.

Wow Mendoza. You simply cannot give vitali enough love can you? Not once in your complete hatred nitpicking of Louis career did you pick vitali to beat him? why because you know deep down Louis would beat Vitali. So instead of making a prediction, you simply chose to "attempt" to beat down Louis career, thus making yourself feel better about Vitali. It is truelly sickening.

I cannot wait until Vitali gets his ass handed to him by someone sometime in the near future ...I will be the guy on ESB making thread after thread " WOOOO HOOOOOO" I think we better call the Crisis Center and have them report to Mendoza's roof top on that night!

I think Willard was generally very well-skilled in being a big man. a set of skills that is by definition different than being a smaller man. Guys who are taller and longer than their opponents don't need tight guards and to skitter about the ring like a bug. Their defense is the jab, maintaining the distance between themselves and their opponents while chiseling away at them. Willard had an excellent jab. Check out the Moran footage. He uses it well.

VK has great skills at being the bigger man. When he ran into another great big man, he had some trouble. Louis would have to work his way inside and up, no small feat, especially for a guy with somewhat leaden feet.

I dont know. The thing is Klitschko is hittable despite his size, same with Willard. Fighters do get punches in, fighters who just aren't in the league of Joe Louis. Sure, VK uses his size and generalship to keep the majority of the action at his pace and distance but great multi-dimensional heavyweights dont get dominated by reach, it takes more than that to upset them.

Actually, those saying Primo is not in Vitali's class need to watch more Carnera films...in my opinion...and not just Baer-Carnera and Louis-Carnera. I guess this sentence will be about as popular here as a fox in your chicken coop, but here goes: After seeing them both many times, prime for prime, if we could have Primo Carnera against Vitali Klitschko, I would bet on Carnera. :D

    Maybe.
But the thing that might let Carnera down is his chin. His chin wasn't great and he left himself open for the right hand too often. He was hard to stop because he had so much heart. I think he looks better on film in boxing technique and mobility than Vitali Klitschko does though.
