Robinson is the best fighter that ever lived, Muhammad Ali is the closest to him tho, maybe if he wasnt denied those prime yrs from 67-70 he could have overtook Robinson but as it is, Ray Robinson is the all time God of boxing.

True, Saddler beat Pep 3 out of 4. But, historically speaking Pep beat more top fighters, fought at a higher level for longer, and was champion longer than Saddler. Pep even beat several fighters that had beaten Saddler. Saddler beat Pep when Willie was starting to slip, and after Pep had broke his back in a plane crash. Saddler was great in his own right, and a stylistic nightmare for Pep, but it is fair to say that Pep should be rated higher, all time p4p.

sugar ray robinson was the greatest fist fighter to ever lace up the gloves, possibly to ever walk the earth. he was literally perfect in the pugilistic sense. it's not even a competition
