The economy fiasco didnt occur or seem evident during Hatton-PBF. During Pac-Hatton it did.

So again. To dismiss the economy is clearly your sense of apathy to the situation.

The situation we have now with Cotto/Pac and PBF/Marquez is a clear sign and no excuse as to who is the true cash cow is.

Just because people are buying doesnt mean that people arent buying more frequently.

I mean look at the extent of marketing being done just to get these decent figures. More and more people are looking for free livestreams of the fight as opposed to just ordering it.

Boxing fans are crowding a single home for the fight as opposed to each person buying their own viewing.

Its a truly united effort from boxing fans to still keep our sport alive financially, but to dismiss the financial situation of the matter is naive

Look at unemployment rates, stock market points etc during the Floyd/Hatton fight compared to the Pac/Hatton fight, You'll see a significant difference. What the hell are you talking about? All of them would be hurt if they are fighting during the recession, but in the case of Mayweather vs Hatton and Hoya, the recession was not that awful. Hell, there wasn't even a recession yet when Mayweather fought Hoya. His fight against Hatton was on December 8 2007. The US government declared that they are in recession in the late December of 2007.
With these argument, it's safe to conclude that when Pacquiao fought Hoya(2008) and Hatton(2009), the economy has gotten worst. Think about that Mr. Guru.

 

I'm merely talking that this recession is overrated all the way. Maybe you've seen people do that, but the people I know are still ordering fights like they normally did prior even during this recession. Like I've said before.

Manny and Floyd are nearly in equal in terms of drawing power. Floyd being slightly better. But combine them together and you have possibly the biggest match up in PPV terms ever.

But if you consider the hype and pre-build with both fights it really isnt fair.

Mayweather is Mayweather so people will always watch because he's an ******* that everyone wants to see get dropped on his ass. Hatton was undefeated and a comedic relief himself. Tough as nails. Strong. Etc Etc

In the Pac/Hatton fight, Hatton had already lost and BADLY. His comeback effort was decent. The only thing intriguing was Roach and Mayweather Sr.
