Roy Jones Jr. vs. Bernard Hopkins II

How do you all think a second fight would go between Jones Jr. and Hopkins set in 2010?

I feel Roy still has his blazing handspeed and reflexes; it's his legs that are gone. He can't fight for more than 3 rounds in the center of the ring and will have to resort to the ropes. I actually think this fight will be closer than you think; Hopkins presents no problems stylistically to Roy that I can see. I feel Hopkins is the fresher of the two and should be considered the favorite.

 

I don't think Hopkins stops him as he doesn't have the workrate or the power to trouble Roy. Stylistically, Roy has the advantage over Hopkins, but Bernard is the fresher of the two. I still have trouble picking the winner even though Hopkins should be/is favored to win this fight if it comes off. Part of me believes Roy still has the speed and savviness to outpoint B-Hop. Another part of me believes Roy is too far past it and B-hop is fresh enough to overcome the stylistic disadvantage and win a decision.

 

EDIT: After re-watching Jones-Lacy and Hopkins-Pavlik I have come to one final conclusion.

At this point in both of their careers neither fighters are agressive in the ring but Hopkins is a bit more. Hopkins is going to have to take the fight to Roy as Jones is content with letting his opponent come to him no matter the circumstances. Hopkins doesn't apply the type of pressure that Trinidad, Hanshaw, Calzaghe and Lacy do right now. So Jones will actually not have to spend time on the ropes because Hopkins won't pin him and hug on him against the ropes like the above did. He also doesn't have the workrate to wear Jones down like Calzaghe did nor the pressure.

The reason Jones was against the ropes against Lacy was because Jeff pushed and hugged him on the ropes. Hopkins will not do this as he is a counterpuncher now and is a crude defender. The times Roy was off the ropes is when Lacy chose to box and stay away from Jones. Not once in these periods did Roy resort to the ropes. I feel Roy still has enough in him, coupled with a stylistic advantage, to win a close decision against Bernard.
