Debateable win and you have to remember most of us have Norris above Jackson so that's no justification.
Mike McCallum Julian Jackson Nino Benevenutti Ronald Wright Paul Williams Felix Trinidad Sugar Ray Robinson Sam Langford (in a stage in his career) Sugar Ray Leonard i know i lack one but couldn't find another to be sure at the moment also worth mentioning : rodrigo valdez langford weighed 156 against Jack Johnson - he could easily make 154 for about half of his prolific career. Also worth mentioning : Buster Drayton , Matthew Hilton , Laurent Boudouani , David Reid
Just like how Mike Tyson nearly killed Larry Holmes, and yet Holmes ranks higher, right? :roll: This isn't a head to head matchup to see who would beat who, it's a list of their accomplishments at the weight.
Tyson was arguably at his best when he ko'd a very old, and inactive larry holmes. The situation is reversed with Jackson vs Norris. Jackson was almost a 40 fight vet, and Norris the up and coming hotshot.
This is one of the worst lists ever. Mosely, DLh, Spinks and Vargas have no reason to be on here. And Terry Norris is a top 3 fighter at 154. The hell is your problem?
DLH? he beat shot yory boy campas, vargas and mayorga ( who never fought at 154) and hes top 10 of all time? give me a damn break...maybe if he would have fought winky or forrest...and WON....
You want a prime vs. prime example then? Fine, I got ya. Lloyd Honeyghan beat up Donald Curry in six rounds. Few have Honeyghan ahead of Curry in all time welterweight rankings. What i'm trying to say is, even if fighter A beats fighter B, it doesn't mean that fighter B can't be greater than fighter A at a certain weight class. Head to head doesn't always determine who was the greater fighter.
I said I don't know the history of the division aswell as the others but from the bits I've looked up I Think The top 5 is preatty accurate the last 5 is more debatable and not as solid, so calm down man relax .
Tito should definitely be above Oscar, who I'm not sure would make my top 10. Shane definitely wouldn't be. As others have said, Jackson deserves to be in there also.
1.Thomas "The Hitman" Hearns 2."The Bodysnatcher" Mike McCallum 3.Ronald "Winky" Wright 4.Wilfred Benitez 5."The Golden Boy" Oscar De La Hoya 6.Felix "Tito" Trinidad 7.Terry Norris 8.Julian Jackson 9.Fernando Vargas 10."Sugar" Shane Mosley let me know if you agree { I don't know this division aswell as the others but looking through its history I think I got the top 5 spot on the other 5 is a bit more debatable I think.} {After some complaints I did some research and added some name's in exchange for others remember also that this list is based on achievement aswell as talent and is not strictly Hd 2 Hd if it were I'd have Hearns number 1 and a pick em between McCallum and Benitez for the number 2 and 3 spots.}
