One could also say that the difference is : Hopkins and Jones would never have fought Jirov, Holy, Rahman, Peter...

However, I agree that Tone has been too inconsistent and out of shape. Therefore, Jones and Hopkins got probably the edge right now. As for losing too Thadzi, I don't see that as a relevant argument as Duran for instant also lost to bums.Keep in mind that Toney has more fights than the rest and is therefore more susceptibe to losses.

 Absolutely ridicoulous to put JC in front of JT.

Never heard of Holyfield, Jirov, Peter, Rahman, McCAllum, Nunn etc..

I think that is a bit better than Lacy and 40 years old Jones and BHOP.

Toney is just vastly overrated by some and does not belong in this thread. His best win after Mccallum, nunn is something like Jirov - wtf?!?!? (Rahman etc. were way past it and wouldn't last even a couple of rounds against a real HW champ like Vitaly) Jirov isn't bad but also nothing spectacular at all. He lost to whomever and generally some people like him for his tough-guy persona, but in real boxing terms he does not belong in this thread. The others were all long-term champions of the world while Toney just won a bit here and lost a bit here. Does not belong in the thread - at all.

Man, Toney is so underrated here...

    Both H2H and resume-wise, I have it
    1. Roy Jones (because of his wins over Toney and B-Hop)
    2. Toney
    3. B-Hop
    4. Calzaghe (Eubanks, Roy and B-Hop were past it, the B-Hop fight could've gone either way, his best win is prime Kessler)

    H2H in their prime :
    Jones
    Toney
    Calzaghe
    Hopkins

    All Time :
    Toney
    Jones
    Hopkins
    Calzaghe

Jones beat a drained and weak Toney who had an eating disorder ,
if not that i doubt if he had won , but , it's hard to excuse Toney's losses
to Thadzi and his 2 close fights with Griffin who were stopped by Michalczewski. Toney should have never gone above 175 and it would never happened without him taking steroids and GH. Toney should have and still needs to drop back to 200. I'm sure he can make 200 , even 175.
Calzaghe at least fought Eubank and Byron Mitchell , and I read he was ducked by Collins which is interesting if it's true , is it ?
Hopkins only fought smaller fighters and a weight drained Tarver and lost the other times and also been dirty in his doubtful victory over Wright who is a smaller but more talented fighter.
I read Griffin was not allowed enough time to warm himself against Jones in their rematch and I doubt if Jones had won in their first encounter when he was so rightly disqualified.
What is common to Michael Watson , Gerald McClellan , Steve Collins ?
they were not smart choosers like Jones , Hopkins , Calzaghe and thus had shorter career and damaged brains , but are they any worse (or less good) ? No !

Toney is vastly underrated by you.WTF is going on here?!!!
I mean, do you see Calzaghe going into the ring with Ruiz, Peter Holyfield Rahman, Guinn, Jirov?

Toney started his career as a light middlweight for christ sake. The man has over 80 fights now. Stop the BS. Toney has been inconsistent, but no way Calzaghe ranks above him . BHOP and Jones maybe but certainly not Calzaghe. This is just awful.

Hopkins Jones and Toney will still be fighting in another 10 yrs its a ****in joke, shot to pieces. Calzaghe played the muggs game right, got out at the right time, remained undefeated and able to count the money he made.
He also made himself the most avoided as we all know the reason why Hopkins didnt want to fight Joe in his prime.
Jones before getting ****ed up by journeymen Tarver & Johnson (washed up bums)was to concerned about wanting to fight Tyson thats a joke and Toney is just a disgrace, would make a good comedian Toney. You can only beat whos put in front of you and Jones Hopkins Toney couldnt even do that.
