That's what happens when you lose and you aren't an attraction, you dictate nothing.

I agree. Its like when Nate Campbell spoke out a while back. Boxing is turning into a greedy corporation, rather than a sport where the best take on the best. If the **** that goes on now would have been going on in the 70's-90's, boxing would'nt even be a sport today. Its getting quite rediculous already!

yep. Paulie has the deck stacked against him in his next fight. IT IS NOT A FAIR FIGHT. HBO is still hyping Diaz hard. The other day they have a spot on Juan Diaz before Entourage for ****s sake.

And the reason is that THERE ARE NO GOOD MEXICAN PROSPECTS ON THE RISE.

Mexicans are a KEY boxing demographic in terms of revenue. Once JMM retires alot of these fans will be left in the dark unless a new young star emerges quickly. The outlook is bleak.

If I'm forgetting some mexican rising star then I'm sorry, but I just can't think of any.

It's funny that most fans agree the way boxing's run needs improvement and has to clean itself up to recapture its former glory here in the US, yet when Paule speaks out about those topics he's basically told to shut the **** up.

Is it because he's Paulie or because he's attacking boxing politics in the US as opposed to seemingly everyone's favorite country to rip on for such matters, Germany?

Paulie had shots at Cotto and Hatton and both times he didnt come through. I think he is a bit sour he aint the star but hes boring and cant win the big fights.

    agreed
i mean, its one of the only sports where the best very rarely compete against each other. the 13 weight classes, some seprated by 3 or 4 pounds, the 4 world champions in every weight class, 5 or 6 if you count IBO and WBF
    and now "diamond championship belt"
fighter A cant fight fighter B because fighter A is marketable enough, or it doesnt make good business sense, or fighter A can stay in his home country and make 2 million to fight cans, rather than 2.5 million to fight a legitimate threat. and then when very big names fight, they always end in controversial or premature stoppage....
im a fraid the magic man is correct

Boxing has been corrupt before Paulie and it will be after paulie. He's faced with a job of fighting Diaz with all of these "disadvantages" but it shouldnt matter because im pretty sure JMM had the same issues when he fought Diaz. If Paulie would KO Diaz judges, ring size and hometown advantage wouldnt matter. He's not exciting, lost his last fight, and has no power. No one wants to see him fight! Its like an ugly stripper complaining that the pretty one are getting all of the attention. Of course thats going to happen! He needs to work twice as hard as normal boxers or get some power really quickly. Otherwise, quit bitching and beat someone besides Herman Ndjou(or however you spell that dudes name)

Got to agree with him, there's SO much corruption happening in boxing it's unreal. The last major fiasco was the Danny Williams fight in Spain against some tomato can in Ohner's(or whatever) stable. Williams hurts the guy early in the round and the guy gets off his seat and rings the bell after a minute in the round. The entire fight was spread by almost ALL boxing sites for the public to see and hopefully protest yet it was ignored and no one remembers it anymore.
