But, we're comparing him to other top level boxers. I'm tougher that anyone in Miss Hartley's Kindergarten Class, but I usually don't brag about it. As far as world class fighters go, Malinaggi is low on the list of bad asses.

I was watching and interview with 8-1 Cuban Prospect Yan Barthelemy (the guy on my avatar) and he was talking about when he was undefeated eveyone would call him and he had so many "friends" and I remember on ESB everyone was saying he was so good and he would be champ one day. Then he said how after he lost all his "friends" stoped calling and I remember on ESB everyone was saying how he was a bum and that he was no good. Thats one thing I admire about UFC, they have some of the most loyal fans I've ever seen, people always bash MMA on here but in reality we could learn somthing from them.
Can't disagree with you on that but it strikes me as convenient that these guys - malignaggi, Hatton, Calzaghe only start to speak the "truth" about boxing when their careers are on the slide or they've had enough...or am I just being cynical? I'm prepared to be convinced though. If anyone has any real examples of first hand experience of corruption in boxing then lets hear them.

I hear ya, but they have already "made it" in boxing, and being that they are on there way out instead of one there way up they are in a position for once where they do not have to kiss ass, and cater to boxings power brokers. I have been on the inside of boxing from club shows to PPV and every person I have met was a self serving scumbag. As for Paulie... believe it or not he is a very nice guy in person. Humble, down to earth, and accomodating to fans.
Paulie had his moments against Cotto, but for the most part took a beating... did he quit? Nope he fought hard to the end, and he did so against a World Class boxer.
He's just mad because he isn't a big boy of the sport. He should go to the UFC, they're practically handing out titles there
Fair enough, I don't have your close and personal experience of boxings inner workings. Maybe that's a good thing. Sometimes ignorance can be bliss.
Paulie is one of the nicest guys in boxing, and has tremendous heart....and I feel he genuinely cares about the sport....if you read the interview over at the scene of the boxers.....you can tell he is clearly pissed off about the politics of his fight with diaz..... diaz should win this fight, but i think we will see a better paulie then the one we got against hatton...will that be enough? probably not
