will Mayweather embrace the role of the villain all-out in 24/7?

24/7 is coming soon, and PBF has been pretty tame with Marquez. But does anyone else think that in 24/7 Floyd will go all out to get the blood boiling and people more hyped?

It's beginning to sound like he doesn't have much of a choice really.

That said, the point of the villain is to be able to play off a good babyface. JMM isn't exactly a good talker so it could just be like Camacho against Chavez where one guy ran his mouth and the other guy lacked the ability to go back and forth with him.

I think so. Thats the key for a mayweather fight to sell.

Could be both. Point is Camacho was essentially talking to a wall.

He will most likely, in the introduction it was clear he's taking that path. That's what he always did, can't see him change.

floyd can just diss all of Mexico and their boxing history. Then the fight will sell for sure.

Actually the reason Mayweather isnt playing the bad guy is because he actually respects Marquez a lot. As a man and as a fighter. Also Marquez has only good things to say about Mayweather and considers him the real p4p number 1 in the sport.

Mayweather already said that he dont always have to play the bad guy it depends on his mood.

But I guarantee if Mayweather get pass Marquez it will be MAYWEATHER that sells the PPV in the Pacquaio fight and not PACMAN.

If Mayweather really wants to go for the record he could put on a performance in the Pac V May 24/7 that would send ppv sales through the roof.

Manny hasn't got the ability to do this.

Oh yeh Mayweather will be hosting Monday night raw WWE on the 24th, great publicity for boxing:bbb

Mayweather: "Its your boy Pretty Boy Floyd, Money Mayweather, The Crem de la Crem coming to get that paper. Im back to claim whats mine. im the face of boxing. Theres no blueprint to beat Mayweather. 39 have tried 39 have failed. Marquez gonna bring his A game but im gonna tax that ass as well. Manny Who? He just getting my leftovers. i set them up for him, he just knock them down. He know where im at. All he gotta do is call me."

Marquez: "I will fight for my country. I consider Mayweather to be the best in the world. I will beat him skill for skill. The weight is not a problem. i can eat a bit more. It will be tough but i know in the end i will win and make Mexico proud."

    Rinse and repeat.

Pacquiao is a big enough name to sell a lot of PPVs but I agree that Floyds antics will see the buys go over the 1 million mark at the bare minimum. I'm just gutted that we won't be able to hear more of Roger Mayweather's pearls of wisdom. :-(

Knowing the Mayweather's they might do a prison interview, where Roger gives Floyd words of advise:bbb

"Just go out there, do what you do, set up the right hand lead, that midget head so big, I'm telling you floyd you wont miss":vonnecunt

That's insanity if you're talking over a million PPV buys. Hatton was way more popular than JMM was, the fight was regarded as less of a mismatch, and that didn't do over 1 million. This'll be fortunate to do 600k or so.

Don't know how much Floyd wants to be the villain on this one. He probably will to some extent, but if he overemphasizes the mismatch element he loses buys, also the general public has experienced two 24/7's already with him busting his villain chops. There's only so much more that can be done.

It's more of a 'silent genius' vs 'mouthy genius this one; I think it's being sold on Floyd's 'return' and Marquez's 'brilliance'.

I still Marquez is too small but I'm rooting for him. War Juan!
