Here is a list of some of the top fighters and champions of the era Chavez beat, not by slapping, grabbing or running around but most by ko or a brutal beating round after round... Joey Gamache David Camau Toney Lopez Meldric Taylor 2x Terrance Ali H Camacho Franky Mitchell Angel Hernandez Greg Haugen Lonnie Smith Duk An Roger Mayweather 2x Jose Luis Ramirez Juan Laporte Rafael Limon Edwin Rosario Rocky Lockridge Alberto Cortez just some, the man had 27 succesfull title defences, 27! Let me give you some advise go buy the Chavez career set and you will be a fan as well. In the meantime stop trying to discredit one of the best in the history of the sport, cus it realy looks stupid.
Is this in order?????? In terms of resume Arguello MUST be higher than Sanchez. H2H they are equal in stature, different styles both equally brilliant IMO. Kid Gavilan is a glaring ommision. Where's Jose Napoles?
Where did I discredit Chavez? I was simply laying out a few of the credentials of Luis Rodriguez, who you obviously didn't know too much about by trying to claim he didn't belong there. The names on the resume of Chavez, who was a great fighter by the way, still don't matchup nearly with the names on the resume of Rodriguez. I happen to think Rodriguez was the better, more versatile stylist and boxer than Chavez as well, which puts him in even higher esteem with me, and is why I rate him higher. If you don't, that's your deal. I deal with what I see and the facts, and that leads me to believe Rodriguez was clearly the superior fighter to Chavez, though both were definitely great fighters.
