Why are Pac fans so quick to forget about the Morales loss?

All the die hard Pac fans seem to think that Pac is some indestructible force that no one could possibly beat. He was outboxed and beaten by Erik Morales less than 4 years ago at 130! How do you think that your boy can maintain championship level at 140-145 and criticize those who don't think he can? Mayweather is a much better boxer than Morales, and a lot bigger too. How do you come up with your reasoning that he would roll through Mayweather or any other technical boxer in their prime above 140? Explain this logic to me.

And no this is not a hate thread. I have never hated Pacquaio, I just expect whoever claims to be the best pound for pound fighter in the world to prove themself first. And those who keep on searching through my post history can go back and find the threads I made where I GAVE Pac credit for his victories.

because he avenged that loss by beating Morales twice, and anyone who has watched him can see he has drastically improved since then.

There's also nothing wrong with losing on points to a fighter of Morales' calibre.

The question should be 'why have people forgotten that a loss DOESN'T mean you're a phoney or a hypejob'?

All I can remember is that Pac was headbutted. He fought w/ one eye shut but Morales can't knocked him out. Despite the showboating of Morales in the last round, the fight was actually close. It could have gone either way. Pac would have won that fight. The profuse bleeding had weakened him. Also remember that that was his first fight in 130.

Because that loss was avenged twice. Pacquiao also suffered a major cut in the 4th round of that fight and wasn't allowed to use the gloves he wanted to.

come on man, don't blame the loss on a headbutt. that's like saying hatton's loss should be forgotten because pac decided to use two hands or be quicker than him. there was no headbutt; morales doesn't pull that ****. he had a great strategy and executed it perfectly. the fight was close but clear for el terrible

first part is a stretch, second part is irrefutable.

it was not a fluke but the last great performance from a great fighter

If anything I became a Pac fan after his loss to Morales. In that fight he fought through a cut against a pretty damn good fighter and was smiling with blood trickling through his eye down to his face.

Awesome fight between two great fighters.

Yes he avenged his loss to Morales, but we can all agree that Morales got old overnight and was in too many tough fights to be at his best. He was a shot fighter, not because of pacquaio but because of all the ring wars he was in
