Goossen "I want Paul Williams to fight first and foremost in Oct."

Sergio doesn't "deserve" a damn thing.

He already got TOO MUCH credit from HBO's announcers just for beating gate-keeper Alex Bunemaatsch

 

HBO wouldn't put up enough money to make Pavlik/Sturm unification possible. No way they put up the money for Williams/Sturm, plus Sturm/Pavlik was put off because Sturm just fought.

I've said all along I'd like to see Williams/Mosely, but Mosely don't want none....

 

I think most KP fans have some sense. PW needs to do whats best for him and if that means a fight Oct. 3 go for it- I would like his next fight to be Kelly, cause you never know what happens in this game (loss, cut, injury)

I hope to God that a miracle can happen and that Goosen and OScar will come out next week and say Shane will fight Paul in Oct.

exactly. paul needs to do what's best for him, not what's best for his promoter. i really wouldn't mind seeing him fight in october. as long as it's against mosley, martinez, dzinz, or anyone else who will make a great fight.

mosley will never take a fight with paul, especially if its in a month and a half. i guess we can leave him off the list.

 

well, to be fair he didn't just beat bunema, he embarrassed him and looked great doing it. it WAS a mismatch, but only due to the fact that sergio is a damn good fighter.

 

What other fight will offer the same purse? I guess we will have to see what HBO wants.

 

My personal preference would be for PW to be patient. However, I voted he should fight Dzinzurik. The poll ask what I thought Paul should do, and I have never felt that this fight was in PW's best interest.

 

i know this thread is about pwilly but if he fights one of the names listed above then who does pav fight goosen needs to wait it what is best for both fighters

 

I still think HBO holds the keys. It would be kind of mean spirited for HBO to insist that the fight happen when Goosen has another fight scheduled the same day on Showtime, but that could be why HBO gave that date. Make him toe the line a little for his 'infidelity'.

 

I just want to see Mosley fight again and soon. I've changed my mind, win or lose I would love to see him fight Williams in Oct.

 

Mosley and Williams isn't ever going to happen. Williams needs to just chill until Pavlik either heals or sorts out whatever issues he's having and cash in on the payday, cause that's all that matters to him if the negotiations were any indication. If Pavlik reschedules AGAIN Williams should bail though, no sense in wasting too much time.
