Kelly has the best win in Taylor. Adamek is a fairly pedestrian fighter and him running off to CW and getting a belt just shows how weak CW is. If Dawson beats Hopkins then he will have the best win.

Agree 100%! Plenty of people bring up Adamek's alleged weight drain but he did not look too drained to me in the later rounds when it became Adamek v Briggsesque! This fight was a pitch perfect performance by Bad Chad!

Dawson easily. Pavlik's one big win is the first Taylor fight. I thought the 2nd fight could have went to Jermaine, even if he did lose the last 2 rounds. He simply landed the better punches. All Pavlik did was jab,jab,jab,.....I prefer scoring the cleaner, harder punches, rather that a work rate like Pavlik displayed.

If they fought at 168, I would expect Dawson's speed to be the big factor. Pavlik is even slower at that weight.

I think Adamek was weight drained in that fight, but any shortcomings of Adamek that night were NOT the fault of Dawson.

Dawson moved and boxed brilliantly that night. Even a weight-drained Adamek who is fighting the wrong fight strategically--he is STILL a very dangerous fighter against anyone.

Wins over Adamek and Tarver 2x > 2 wins over Taylor

And a disputed win over Johnson > an embarrassing one-sided loss against Hopkins

Dawson deserves more credit for beating a beast like Adamek, who himself, is a top 15 P4P talent, IMHO.

    Not so sure.

Pavlik can still be a force at middleweight for a long time, and it looks like Bad Chad and B-Hops are due for a January showdown, so I think Bad Chad is getting dealt his first loss by the Ageless Warrior.

On the other hand, I like Pavlik's chances a lot against Williams.

So in five years, it's impossible to say where each fighter will stand.

To me it's not necessarily their resumes that separate them, since I see both quite equal, but rather Dawson's superior talent that naturally makes him stand out !

Just not close at all. Dawson has been THE light heavyweight champ for a fair while now. There is ample reason why you haven't seen an incredibly old BHOP reaching out for a Dawson fight during these last few years. Calzaghe only fought a couple 40 year olds at LHW and quickly retired. He wouldn't have survived 12 with Dawson as he just doesn't have the reflexive athleticism to avoid getting hit (even old men far on the wane found his chin early and dropped/hurt him). Meanwhile, Dawson's still prime victim moved UP and has done more than credibly in a HIGHER weight class.

Kelly had the benefit of facing a Taylor that had three tough fights with Hopkins and Wright. Kelly had such a poor performance against the old man that he needs a dominant outing against someone decent to even justify having his name mentioned in the same sentence with Dawson in light of Chad's obvious talent and ability. The future is still a bit cloudy and indeterminate for Kelly. Stepping up to the SMW 6 (or "8") would have been the thing to shoot for considering he is a huge middleweight, the MW division's comp is amazingly weak for such a historically important one, and surely is he struggling to dry out to the weight standing 6'2 1/2" and hitting his late 20s.

I'm not at all convinced he will be able to beat Paul The Thin Man Williams.

I voted Chad because IMO Dawson is the more skilled fighter who will operate at the highest level longer than Pavlik.

Come on man. If you want to go that way boo then Miranda and Taylor first fight in which Pavlik beat both of those fighters when they were weight drain.

Dawson by far and its not even close

I just find it sad though that Dawson's fanbase doesnt even compare to Pavlik's when Dawson has the better resume, better skillset, more exciting fights, more speed, and is still undefeated.
