Yes. An example needs to be made. Boxing is dangerous enough. Using plaster in a fight to gain an extra edge increases the chances of ending a career and/or a life. It's not like baseball where if used a cork filled bat you hit an extra couple homers, boxing aint a game.

In Western Civilization you should be proven guilty, not innocent. Margarito's trainer was caught TRYING TO CHEAT, there's absolutely no real evidence of Tony actually cheating before and then again, he doesn't have to prove his innocence, others have to prove he's guilty in other fights. He stepped into the Mosley fight clean. Mosley, Jones, Toney and others from all around the world were proven guilty by hard evidence (court testimony, B-sample), yet I don't see "BAN THEM FOREVER :twisted: :twisted:" threads, Mosley didn't even got disqualified for his cheating, fake, opponent health risking performance. People shouldn't judge too quickly or if you judge, at least be unbiased and judge other cheaters as well. That's a lesson you guys should learn.
If it's proven that he knew and he had tarnished Cotto's career by cheating, then YES. Problem is, all we can do is take the mans word for it and that's troubling. He shouldn't get banned for life without proof, but with proof, YES. It bothers me cause I was really rooting for him and I wish I knew the facts. We just don't know. No. I think the suspension should be longer though. Some boxers easily take a year off between fights. If he's allowed to fight again, they should make it mandatory for his opponents to wear plaster of paris, to get a taste of his own medicine. :yep
