:rofl Love Floyd but he's so transparent. He's fighting Juan b/c he knows Juan is smaller, older and on the slide.....BUT JMM is still a great fighter who operates on the highest levels. He's just not a fighter who should be fighting above 140 and I don't even know if he should be fighting at Jr WW either. Floyd is a smart guy and he made a great choice of a comeback opponent.

A good name, top guy and one that he'll have little problems with. A win over JMM in the eyes of the masses will put him right back in place to have leverage in negotiating a fight with PAC. Floyd is a great fighter and a very intelligent self promoter. Props to him for that. But comments like this one are funny to me.

I don't think Floyd is scared of Manny. I just think his ego wouldn't allow him to be dicatated at the negotiation tables. Nor would he allow anyone to tell him that he isn't the draw. So he took a route that would allow him to stay relevant within the sport by taking on a very well regarded fighter, one of the best in the game, but also one that is very small whom is aging and has been on the slide. It's a very high reward and low risk fight....one that will give him the leverage he needs to make some demands in fighting PAC should PAC get by Cotto and Floyd by JMM which seem to be the likely outcome.
