BTW , even Toney who is (at least) a great P4P fighter got outpointed 6 times
even against someone that is considerred less great than Morales in Drake Thadzi and twice by the underrated Griffin. Also his wins against Reggie Johnson , Mike McCallum (2nd fight), David Tiberi and Terry McGroom are dubious and he has 3 draws.

The last boxer who clearly dominated and punished another boxer will be credited as the one who retired that other boxer... For example:
    - PAC retired Morales
    - PAC retired DelaHoya
    - PAC retired Hatton
    ;)

I don't see it that way, I see it more as the last person who totally dominated a fighter who was never the same AFTER that.

the first fight was a 16 oz gloves and we all that doesn't favor a brawler like pacquiao, remember also the cut? but all pacfans were still happy with his performance although he lost by decision, do you see my point about axcuses?

so don't give me that old ****ing shot excuse cause am not used spouting it to other fighters..

But I think most boxing personalities/writers credited PAC for retiring these 3:
    - PAC retired Morales
    - PAC retired DelaHoya
    - PAC retired Hatton

that fight wasnt even close pac barely won 4 rounds and its this fight why i dont see him beating mayweather. Yea he's improved but he's still susceptible for the same punches. He fights squarer and more straight on than other southpaws so he can get outjabbed, he drops his hands in close and morales hit him with great over hand rights all night, and morales stuffed right hands to the body all night the head moves but the body doesnt and manny may have good head movement but he cant avoid that punch. Coincidentally morales started to hit him with straight rights to the head after killing him to the body

I disagree completely mate. IMO Pacquiao's chin is rock solid. Morales hit him with bombs in round 7 of their first fight, and he didn't budge. JM Marquez has KO'd two previously unstopped lightweights in his last two fights, and he couldn't drop Pacquiao once in 24 toe-to-toe rounds. When was the last time Pacquiao was knocked down? Maybe he was susceptible to bodyshots when he was a skinny teenager, but now he has superb punch resistance IMO.

I remember the Morales fight. I wasn't into boxing as much as I am now.

I remember preCalc prof talking about pacquiao and how he has taken out MAB and he will do the same to EM.

I remember watching the PPV at my uncles house and how PAC was suppose to be this monster and I was disappointed. Yet, everyone was still talking about him.

I did my research and watched his old fights and I loved him. I even wrote my african american history paper on ALI....LOL.

Anyway, I forgot his loss with EM because of how well he has performed after his loss. I believe that his losses made him even work harder and went on to achieve 6 titles and hopefully, 7.

You could also notice tha Pac grew into a real 130 pounder fighter. In the first fight, he was small relative to EM yet in the 2nd fight, he outweigh EM post weigh-in, therefore he became the bigger guy in the second fight. Those are small matter that would mean a win or loss between quality fighters.

I had a debate before about Pac's previous losses, namely against Torrecampo and Singsurat. The one I was arguing with was so adamant that it would hurt Pac's resume while on the otherhand, I contended that those losses are just footnote in his young resume and only those that have hidden agenda would make it a mark against how he will be ranked later in P4P or ATG.

And it does not surprise me that some posters here would keep on digging up those losses as a means to discredit Pac. The first EM fight, Pac was left hand happy, young, inexperienced, and fought from 5th round with a cut from accidental head clash. Those are not excuses because he lost to a very good fighter. Those are factors that contributed to his defeat but it is part of being a fighter, some factors are simply beyond your control all the time, may it be the referees, the venue, had cough, cold, divorce, forest fire, etc. Those did not cause you to loss in a fight because as a boxer you should transcend those or try to find ways to win despite those factors. But they contribute to a loss somehow.

    Because Morales is god.

And to the TS, is looking stupid by making stupid threads gives you your everyday climax?

Pac fans do not forget that Pac lost, however, do we need to discuss it everyday or cry about it???? It is only the Pachaters who keep spewing these kind of garbage threads.

It is amazing how the EM loss is used as a basis to state that Pac would loss to Mayweather as well. Simply idiotic. If you want, why not use the Torrecampo fight, or go back further, as a basis to say that Mayweather will definitely win against Pac.

It is easy to counter such useless argument with another useless one. How about this : Mayweather struggled against ODLH while Pac dominated Hoya, etc, ect, which we all know has no bearing to a possible fight with Pac. These are recent fights, not exactly like you need to dig archives like the EM-Pac fight.
