The way I see it, this looks more like a circus like exhibition bout. Two of the most popular Polish fighters ever. The giant yet over the hill Golota against the smaller yet primed Adamek. Whoever loses, it wont hurt their careers. Golota by all accounts is a wash up and should have retired years ago. If he loses he'll just retire already and chalk it up to old age. If Adamek loses, he'll finally see he's not cut out for heavyweight.

I'd like to know what the hell Adamek is thinking?:huh Even if he beats Golota, what's next at heavyweight? Klitchkos?:-( He's naturally WAY WAY too small to compete with heavyweights. He'll end up like Vassily Jirov, even if he gets passed Golota. I'm thinking the money must be better taking this fight than fighting anyone else.

The very best thing that can happen is for Golota to win. This will give us Golotaholics a little vindication after the latest debacle and hopefully Golota will then retire and go out on a win. OR, maybe he'll fight Holyfield as you mentioned after he beats Adamek and go out that way. Nice! And by Adamek losing, he'll get knocked the **** back down to cruiser and reign for years to come!

Nah, he squashed that a long time ago right after he became Poland's national hero after the Bowe fights. I think he had to pay a big fine and it was settled. Money+celebrity=amnesty.

    Agreed.

However, Wlad offered Adamek the fight when Haye pulled out.

Adamek have enough pop to put Wlad down if he catch him.
The question is: can he get to Wlad before Wlad kill him with the jab?
If he fights smart as with Bell or Banks and avoid some obvious shots
then he may pull out the upset. So can he fight smarter than the other
Wlads opoonents of similar potential: Byrd, Ibragimov, Chagaev?
I would give Adamek like 30% to beat Wlad.

If he fights Vitaly then he may have a good chance to outpoint him
but definitely will not hurt him at any point. Vitaly is slower and
Adamek must stay at distance countering, scoring points and running away.
Chance to beat Vitaly is like 40%

With Valuev ... do the same as to Vitaly, but%

Yes, I'd like Golota to win also but he has a track record of damaging fighters from his beatings. I just hope Adamek doesn't suffer any permanent damage. And if Adamek can beat Golota then he should fight the Klitschkos. I'm curious to see what weight Tomasz will come in at but I doubt he'll be more than 215.

Why wouldn't Adamek take it? I guess too soon...

The proposition from Wlad's camp was made just about 2 weeks before the fight so Adamek who was just starting training for Gunn refused. But he said that if he had more time he would take this fight.
    GO GOLOTA !!!

Wlad's chinny, but I dont see Adamek having the kind of power to knock him out. If Wlad can survive against Sam Peter's punches, he'll be able to withstand a blown up cruiserweight's shots. Beyond that, how tall is Adamek? 5'10"? He wont even be able to get in range with Wlad's superior jab. I think this fight would turn out to be a total mismatch if it ever happened. I'd give Adamek MAYBE a 20% chance at beating Wlad and that's even stretching it a bit. But, if he fights Golota, maybe he'll show me that I have him all wrong at heavyweight. But I highly doubt it.

That's true. Grant, Sanders, Bowe. Even Mollo I heard was pissing blood after their fight. Golota does not always punch hard enough to knock guys out. It's more of a long 10-12 round beating. Bad move for Adamek.

But, we all know Golota is super slow these days. It's quite possible Adamek can fight elusive, tagging Golota then moving out of the way before he can get countered. Frustrating Golota all night. It'll be interesting to see.

Don't forget what Andrew did to Chris Byrd with the detached retina. Golota will have to pressure Adamek against the ropes. It should be interesting but in the end I hope Andrew wins.
