Dick Tiger is one of my all time favourites.

But I honestly think that Monzon would have pulled out a decision win in a fight which is interspersed with action and boring moments, but is nonetheless close and competitive.

Monzon by a 15 round decision in a rather dull bout. Carlos would jab him all night long and score well with counters in a conservative type fight. Tiger has his moments but gets outboxed.

Monzon wins this with his jab a punch that Tiger seldom used.
Monzon's wonderful judgement of distance keeps Tiger reaching for him all night,a close combative affair with a U DEC for Monzon.

Agree with all the post aboves. UD for Monzon in a competitive but dull fight which sees Monzon use his jab and reach effectively.

Dick Tiger being completely underrated. He would force the action and make it much more copetitive than others are suggesting, Monzon would be happy to oblige but would take the first three and last three rounds by boxing. The other rounds are close but I agree Monzon would win a decision, no doubt in my mind.

I'm not sure on this 1 Tiger would be Monzon's best opponent and give him his hardest bout, I like his defensive ability to slip jabs and counter, get to mid range and pressure Monzon. Monzon's jab and right would control some of the action and at mid range and he could hold his own somewhat on the inside.

This is a close tough tough fight, I wouldnt want to bet my own money on it

This would be very competitive, and I agree with the notion that Tiger would be King Carlos' bet opponent yet. However, Tiger has the same problems so many other opponents have had, which is getting close enough to Monzon. And whenever he does, Monzon then hugs him to death.

Monzon by close but clear UD.

I'm pretty sure it was otherwise with Monzon calling Bennie Briscoe a "Sherman Tank". Notice how Monzon always avoided an inside battle against Briscoe, he would have likely done the same with Tiger.
