Ok I will play ur game.:rofl

Isn't Cotto also at the right place and right time?

I mean he has suffered a brutal KO and has never looked the same since. His last fight with Clottey had many people suggesting that Cotto is damaged goods. But Manny is fighting him for a WW title cotto won by beating SUPER STAR Michael Jennings:smooch

Wouldn't you agree then judging by your criteria that it could be the right place and right time for manny to defeat Cotto than before Cotto fought Margarito.

Baldo fought Clottey and mental Judah before Cotto did.

If Baldo is average then so is Cotto and Marge

I say yes and no ...

The public wanted to see Mayweather face a big, legit welterweight ... and given that he was the #1 contender, they also wanted him to fight for the welterweight championship.

It was too good to be true because Mayweather wanted Baldomir, Arum wanted Mayweather to fight Margarito ... Mayweather wanted the welterweight championship. Mayweather bought out his contract with Bob Arum ... and the rest is history.

So yeah Baldomir was a hand picked opponent but he also was a pick that was okay with the fans and the critics ... he had a good chin, he was durable, and he was on an incredible win streak ... he was well on his way to winning fighter of the year and upset of the year - had he got past Mayweather or went into a different direction.

Great things for both sides ... Baldomir wanted to cash out and Mayweather was looking to silence his critics (for the time being)

So far the poll is clearly split.

So i will use the same criteria that u use that constitutes a cherry picker.

As of now Pac is officially a cherry picker

No and here's why, PBF was originally going to fight Judah for the linear and undisputed welterweight championship (Many people, were in fact, picking PBF to lose). So Judah takes a defense against Baldomir and does the unthinkable he loses, so now Mayweather does the right thing and continues on to fight Judah because he already agreed to fight him and it was still a big fight (but not quite as big because Baldomir was the real champ). So after PBF defeats Judah, Baldomir is still champ (defeated Gatti) so Mayweather then fights Baldomir for the remaining WBC belt and the recognition as the man in the division. He basically has to fight 2 fights, to achieve his 1 goal of being recognized as the lineal champ @ 147. What would you want him to do, not fight the lineal champ? It wasn't his fault that stupid Judah lost his belts and recognition in a tune-up fight.

How do you cherry pick a man who won all 3 ww titles lol... Clottey Cotto, Shane, AM nor Berto should be champs right now. Baldy being stripped of two of his titles was the worst. Floyd came up in weight so those who think that he cherry picked Baldy truly hate Floyd because nobody can say that Floyd ducked any man when Baldy who won the undisputed ww title... Arum tried his best and failed lol...

No, floyd didn't even want to fight baldomir until people called for him to do so.

No, he didn't even want to fight baldomir until the critics called for it. That jerk brian kenny was one of them.

Baldomir was the logical choice. He was the linear champ, and he was the guy who beat Judah, who Floyd was originally supposed to fight.
Even though, I'd rather have seen Floyd fight Margarito at the time, or Mosely, simply because they would have been more competitive fights.
