Cotto-Mosley was a close fight, even though, I had Cotto winning. Judah breaks apart when u pressure him. Though, I agree with your statement, Pac is at another level in terms of speed.

If you watch the fights in which pacquiao is genuienly stunned i.e. marquez fight or even more recently the hatton fight pacquiao can buy a few seconds to recover and then unleash. Cotto's instinct is to fire back immediately which is not a good idea against pacquiao.

A funny thing i noticed with pacquiao in the diaz fight and the oscar fight was his weakness for jabs. Both Diaz and oscar occasionally landed a stiff jab clean on manny and he paused and nodded for a split second (watch it in slow mo and you will clearly see it), yet when he gets hit flush by marquez he comes right back. Maybe a bad sign for him against cotto who has a strong jab.

Pac is usually is caught off balance and is rarely hurt ... he was truly hurt against Marquez but that was from consistant attention to the body for that period of time.

did you read that ... you're going to get hit ... on both sides ... no matter the speed difference and I assure you that Cotto isn't that far behind Pac is the speed department ... he's faster than a 35 yr old DLH and he's faster than Diaz ... maybe on the same level as Hatton but more controled with his aggression.

e.g. torres fight. Cotto fights way too dangerously for my liking. Even in his sole loss he was fighting a slow guy albeit a good puncher and with volume, he still couldnt make it to the finish by surviving. Pacquiao was badly rocked in the 2nd marquez fight but managed survive against a fighter of marquez's calibre.

pac has had trouble with boxers that have a high rng iq and a good jab ie. morales, jmm. cotto has those atributes, the only diference is that with more power. lets wait and see, niether is unbeatlable!!

When you look at the way Pac was wobbled by Marquez, (who is a better boxer than Cotto, but suely does not have Cotto's power) there is reason to think Manny could get hurt bad enough to be stopped... if he is caught flush.

But then again, I said the same thing about DLH and Hatton! So who really knows?

I'm getting a strange feeling like Cotto might actually pull off a stunning KO win... but for now I'm still sticking with Pac's speed, power and stamina over Cotto's size, strength and power (which may be comprimised by making 145)

Late-round TKO for Manny,,, after Cotto starts to gas out.

I like the prediction. I have a lot of admiration and respect for Cotto - but he's a 10 round fighter. If Manny can avoid too many flush shots, I think he swarms a tired Cotto in 11 or 12.

I do not think Pac will get hit enough to worry about it, Pacs defense gets better every time I see him fight. I also think Cotto was badly damaged by the , were the gloves fixed ? or we they not?, fight.
I see a Pac win by tko as Cotto gets busted up and quits, or the ref stops it, probably late in the fight.
And wether the "questionable" fight he lost with the fixed or not gloves, Cotto hit his opponent flush many times, to no effect, not saying he does not have good punch. And as Margarito showed in his next fight, he will go down if hit hard.

This is what it comes down to. Cotto certainly has the power to bust Pacquiao's body up, but I see Pacquiao training to avoid Cotto's punches altogether.

Pac has been hurt and stopped by guys with less power. But what wins this fight for Cotto is he is the superior all around boxer of the two. Now add in the fact that he is stronger, bigger and has had good success with guys just as quick but with a little more Pop than Pac.

I think that most of you guys are underestimating Cotto's speed ... its ridiculous to think that Cotto is overmatched physically ...

He will land at times ... he will make it competetive ... he will make hurt Pac, given he lands a good punch.

Lets not forget that Pac isn't a defensive genius, he's there to be hit ... I would like to say that Cotto will land and land flush ... the question is how Pac will react to it?
