The Polish megafight between Tomasz Adamek and Andrew Golota could be on for late October in Poland. There will be a press conference on Tuesday next week where more details will be known.

Hopkins said recently that he wants to fight Adamek in January 2010.

You got to really **** Andrew off to get hit in the sack, and no one does it better.

    who cares anyway?

only reason the fight was possible was because you have to fight a GBP fighter to get the big HBO money. which stinks really as hopkins tries hard to make every fight dull, and adamek has been in some absolute wars.

the fight that should matter is adamek v cunningham 2. a fight that will deliver. perhaps if adamek smashes up golota, he will get a bit more hype, more ppl will look at him & a cunningham fight might surface.

hopefully he keeps his cruiserweight title - for later - and doesn't come in more than 215.

might be interesting if adamek beats up on a polish heavyweight now and again - between 200-pound title fights...golota, bonin (whom haye did in a round), sosnowski

if adamek wants to make a big fight for the polish fans, why the heck not krys wlod?

it is the perfect time to make the fight. most feel wlod beat frago. so his reputation is good. he didn't walk away with the WBC title, so he is in no position to bargain with adamek!

perhaps if the golota fight does well, then a wlod fight may happen? i know adamek told someone that he isn't interested in wlod as americans don't know him. however, surely wlod will be a mega fight in poland, and a world title fight at that.

Wlodarczyk's legacy is not enough to make money, even in Poland. Almost every single Pole knows who is Golota, as opposite to Wlodarczyk. This name doesn't guarantee big cash, also another reason is that the richest man in Poland who will put cash on this fight wants only Golota-Adamek. Would be nice if Wlodarczyk-Fragomeni was an undercard fight, I read Wlod's promoter said it's not impossible, all depends on cash if Solorz can give them an amount that will satisfy them both, also depends on and Fragomeni's side. Possible we can watch more interesting Polish fights like Masternak-Janik, Kostecki-Soszynski. Pretty decent and interesting bouts.

I'm rooting for Adamek in main event. UD 117-111

Unless Adamak carries him he will stop Golota early. The man is past it. Arm injury aside Austin floored him pretty much immediately.

Adamak, closer to his prime, will not be a massive HW but will have way too much for Golota at this point in his career.

The dedicated Polish fans that follow Adamek however deserve a 'big fight' in their home country.

  13. What a frickin joke. Is Adamek having problems staying at Cruiser??
