what about Cotto taking a flush shot from Pacquiao.

We all know what happened to Ricky Hatton. Its not out of the realm of possibility.

Yeah Cotto taking a flush shot from Pacquioa is another question but not the topic of the thread.

The way Cotto's defense is ... its hard to hit him with straight shots ... u usually have to catch him with uppercuts or over the top right hands.

We haven't seen Pacquiao take a flush punch from a big puncher ... he's been getting away with blowing guys out ... the question along with the topic at hand is how will he react? ... how will he respond or will he respond? ... will he adjust? ... can he adjust? ... because as of late I haven't seen him or his team discuss a possible adjustment during a fight ... they always talk about what Pac is going to do but never about what they would do when faced with adversity.

He will get hit and he will go back to his corner and ask Roach... "What's plan C?"

Because as far as I know the only plan that they're prepared for is reverting back to what Pac used to be.

He will fight back, be awkward, be open for counters, and be wild ... I don't think he's faced good pressure like Cotto can bring.

I'm not saying who's going to win right now ... I want Cotto to win, Cotto should win, and its not going to be a blowout like everyone thinks ... the fight wouldn't have been made if that were the case.

I don't think Pac can turn and twist his way away from Cotto's attack and pressure ... Pac isn't an inside fighter either so when the pressures on he's not going to he's going to have to try and fight as good backwards as he does forwards.

Has anyone ever seen Pac fight "well" going backwards ...

  7. He will fold and curl up to the nearest Tecate logo on the canvas.

I cant wait to see the odds for this fight.
People are understimating Cotto since the Margo loss and Clottey fight. People forget both of those fighters were teh top WELTER WEIGHTS when Cotto fought them. Much bigger than Cotto and Pac.
Also Cottos speed is so underrated along with his boxing skill. Also the jab is Mannys weakness. Morales showed that and Cotto has a hell of a jab. If Steward trains Cotto I know what the plan is. Jab, Jab, Jab, straightright, left to the body.

FITZGERALDZ is the next nostradamus, he know everything!:patsch

the only advantage that i see on cotto is height and weight, other than that its fairly equal.

if pacman executes his move properly, power punch followed by combo....he might get a chance

also if you see pacman raised his both hands in the air 3x, he will loose! Meaning hes getting hit hard!

Judah took those shots from Cotto for 11 rounds, and I honestly dont think Pac's chin is any worse than Judah's even at this weight. Pac will raise his hands, fire a combinayion and get out.

I think Pac's been sparring with bigger fighters. He handled that 1 flush shot by Hatton really well.

I see where you are getting. Pac's one of those guys that will eat 5 shots to get 20 in.

And I still think Cotto is a dangerous body puncher. But not at 147.

If Cotto is smart he'll just look at EM victory. Jab jab...fight off back foot jab jab. He doesn't need to engage in a brawl with Manny Pac. Right now he needs to find a really good trainer. that's the single biggest thing that is hurting him right now. A trainer with an f'n plan

    FRITZ,

Here's a simple Tip! You really don't have to like PAC.

If you want to MAKE MONEY! Bet on PAC.

Good thing for me. I like PAC and I always MAKE money on his fight!

PAC has won his last 10 fights. I have won the last 10 bets!

If you LOST money or did not win ANY! Pls don't tell me I gave you a

    simple tip.

    cheers!

  15. IMO, Pac wouldn't have a problem fighting 'backwards', I have never seen him not keep a nice distance from his opponant before mixing it up in front of them.

In the Marquez fight his problem was not handling the forward pressure of Marquez but matching the lunging in attacks with Marquez handspeed and combinations. That's something thats less of a problem in the Cotto fight.
