It's going to happen, maybe it will be postponed in spring, if Hopkins fight becomes sure and some things can stop or delay Nard bout. I don't know, if they push the date from October, but it will happen for sure, and 30th of October is currently the most obvious date for this fight. Ready to rumble ?

Adamek-Hopkins or Adamek-Cunningam will take place in 30th of January 2010. Don't worry. All depends on Bernard right now, if he agrees Adamek fight, you will see him in Prudential facing Adamek, if not Bernard, Cunningham will fight Adamek. But first Golota.

seriously? haven't there been any big soccer games, or warsaw pact athletic meets historically?

I would understand if Golota were younger, but now?

it's the passing of the torch angle. Golota obviously and Adamek now are huge celebrities in Poland because they came to America and made it big here. Golota vs. Witherspoon had highest sports TV ratings ever, even higher than when the Pope came to Poland.

The Adamek-Golota fight is Golota's last big shot at getting attention at HW, a win for him is needed.

    Probably, but not necessarily.

If Dawson loses to Johnson and Golota-Adamek falls through, the target date for Adamek-Hopkins was always in January.

If you ask me, this fight is insane. Right now I haven't a clue who I'm going for. I think weeks ago I said Golota. But I hate to see Adamek get pounded. But I have a feeling Adamek will outbox Golota, who is slow now, and Adamek is full of confidence.

    Prime for Prime...

    Golota KILLS him!!!:bbb

No, he's having problems getting a fight where he'll make more than chump change.

Adamek and Golota are both two of my favorite fighters.

Honestly, I'd be shocked if Adamek won this fight. He is NOT a heavyweight.

Golota may be old and he may be slow, but he can still punch and I don't think Adamek has the power to hurt him, especially not early. Adamek himself is a slow starter.

Furthermore, Adamek is not a stick-and-move fighter. He's a seek-and-destroy fighter, which means he will come right at Golota and be dangerously within his power punching range.

Unless Golota is a lot more shot than any of the Express Faithful would like to believe, I can't see Adamek winning this fight.

I really wish Adamek would just stay at cruiserweight.

Adamek also wants to fight on either hbo or showtime. But since Adamek is going to fight shot in the dark Golata, that fight won't be on either network. I bet hbo or showtime would love to put Adamek vs Cunningham rematch.
