Say Floyd's Name Post-Fight, Get a Bout

THE WOO basically owned your ass on this thread but ill chip in too cause i hate boxing groupies. williams called floyd out after beating margarito i july 2007 floyd hadnt even signed the contract to fight hatton at that time

 

When did Paul Williams call out Floyd? Far as I know Williams has called out Mosley and Cotto more then Floyd. Never heard anyone of them stepping up to the plate.

Mosley said he only would fight Floyd for 10 million. Then when Floyd called him out after the Judah or Baldomir fight, Mosley said he needed a vacation. The link should be easy to find on youtube.

Marquez nearly beat the pound for pound number 1 in the world. Also defeated Casa and Diaz along the way.

Margarito is a cheater, who needed to load his gloves against fighters smaller then him.

Also Floyd offered Margarito a fight and Arum turned it down and Margarito fought Baldomir.

 

He's called floyd out a million times. True that he has called Mosley and Cotto out more but that does not change the fact that Floyd turned him down also

Floyd asked for 20 million to fight mosley and Floyd did not call him out after the baldomir fight or the judah fight. After Judah it was pretty much understood that Floyd would be fighting baldomir immidiatly. The only reason he didn't fight baldo sooner is because baldo wanted the easy payday against Gatti before fighting floyd and immidiatly after baldomir it was all DLH and after DLH it was all DLH. Floyd was still chasing a rematch with DLH when Hatton called him out and took that fight instead. If the youtube video is that easy to find then go on ahead and find it.

Marquez nearly beat the p4p#1 3 weight classes below the weight class that floyd claims to be king of and almost doesn't count. No one in boxing was interested in this fight. if you had started a thread asking who you'd like to see floyd fight you would have had about 15 pages of results without one of them being Marquez. It is clear that the boxing public wanted floyd vs margo way more than floyd vs marquez. The hand wrap thing wasn't even an issue until long after floyd turned margo down and as far as yoru claim that floyd offered margarito a fight, that's just a plain out lie.

shane had his chance and oscar took it and shot floyd to superstardom floyd dosent need shane nor the unknown margarito he wants pac tha fighter of the decade

 

So you acknowledge that there is more to landing a fight with floyd than simply asking for one?

 

It was a back handed slap to Mosley for Mosley asking for 10 mil to fight Mayweather in his lower weight days. It was a way of saying "whos worth more now"

I cant remember what fight it was. It was on youtube. You can check it out for yourself. Mayweather has called out mosley numerous times.

Mayweather has never called himself welter king. He calls himself P4P king.

Nobody wanted Floyd vs Margarito. He's a cheater. And a average fighter. Mayweather would toy with him, just like Mosley toyed with him. And he should be banned from boxing. People want Floyd vs Pac. Which will happen once Floyd finishes with Marquez.

Floyd offered Margarito a spot in place of Judah, he instead fought Gomez.

I agree, neither Cotto, Mosley, Margarito, Williams, or Berto ... have ever called out Mayweather's name.

When Cotto was asked he said to ask his promoter ...

Mosley said he had to take a vacation and see a dentist

Williams was more focused on Cotto & Margarito, declined to fight when he was madatory of Mayweather's WBC title

Berto idolizes Floyd

Margarito never called Mayweather out after a fight ... he usually said that no one wants to fight him, he never called out names or made a comment about Floyd in particular.

I see your point. I think you have to be really famous to get a fight with floyd now a days.

You also have to embarass him. Like Hatton did. I mean like ohhh ****.Hatton Played Floyd. Floyd better come back.

Shane tried but embarassed himself and had a terrible aproach its not time for him yet but he will get it. Floyd is focused on pac right now. Shane will never get pac however. He should unify clean up and wait for floyd. Think about who else out there is floyd gonna fight? Its coming Shane is just too desperate to see

 

Whoever wins the pac/cotto bout should call out Mayweather, the fight will happen, Mayweather beats them both, end of story.

 

If you honestly believe this you must be new to boxing as in just got into it after Margarito lost to mosley. Everyone in boxing was asking for Floyd vs Margarito. As far as Margo being a cheater, I won't comment on that but I will say that margarito was chasing floyd down long before there was ever a question about his wraps so you can't use that as an excuse for floyd turning him down.

And no floyd did not offer margarito a fight in place of Judah. There is a video plain as day at the time where margarito walks up to floyd and pretty much begs him for a fight and floyd says that he doesn't want the fight right now for business reasons. You can't find a single source to substiantiate that claim because it's flat out not true.

You guys can make all the excuses you want but my original point stands. There is more to getting a fight with Floyd than simply calling him out.

 

There was a small window from after the Cotto fight to before the Mosley fight where people wanted to see Margarito vs Mayweather. This was when Mayweather was already retired.

Before that fight nobody expected Margarito to beat Cotto, and Margarito had already lost to Williams and Daniel Santos, a pretty average fighter.

Mayweather's entire clan knew that Margarito was nothign special, and Mosley proved that.

All you have to do is use google. Mayweather offered Margarito a fight inplace of Judah, instead he fought Gomez. You were already wrong about Mosley, why wouldnt be wrong about this?
