RJ is my all time fav fighter but Dawson would beat RJ. RJ looked dominant against Lacy but Dawson is so many levels above Lacy. Dawson UD or possibly late KO.
Jones has no legs. YOu cant beat a fighter like Dawson with no legs. Laying agains the ropes may work against a shot Shieka or a neverwas Lacy. Against a 6'3 southpaw with speed, thats just asking for trouble.
Jones looking fresh against a limited winger like Lacy doesn't mean Jones is gonna be a killer against a peak Dawson................ Dawson schools Jones here in 2009.............. I think Jones Handspeed would make up for some of that. Dawson is a great fighter dont get me wrong, we havent seen him overcome adversity though. I cant remember the last time he fought someone with half the speed of Jones.
Jones still has hand speed, but some of that is an illusion, as well........... Against a one or two punch banger like Lacy, its easy to look fast........ But yes, Jones' legs are gone........ His leg movement has dropped way off.. Peace...... MR.BILL
I thought Dawson overcame plenty of adversity against Johnson. Jones is still fast handspeed wise, but he doesnt have the legs to catch up to him to deliver. He relies on fighters coming towards him.
Dawson decision seems fairly logical to me. I honestly don't see much power in Dawson's work, he rarely gets his body position to punch with full power. I think he's happy to just let his hands go, control things, and take a decision...and he's damn hard to stop from doing that because he's so tall, fast, southpaw, its all hard to deal with. Jones would probably just stand there with the ear muffs as he tends to do now.
