A number of MMA sites are reporting that the Carwin vs Velasquez fight is off and that Carwin will now get a shot at the title at UFC 106. Personally, I would preferred the original fight and the winner then fight Lesnar.

Carwin v Velasquez would have made it that little bit more tasty.

Rothwell is the replacement opponent for Velasquez

This is shaping up to be a decent ppv. Tito's reaturn against the hall of famer. And then, the Heavyweight Title bout. Count me in.

This is better for Cain anyhow, he is still young and another tough fight against Rothwell will only help him in the longrun.

I guess they want to get Lesnar out there looking good so people will forget about Fedor.

The only way to beat Lesnar is to submit him or land one on the button. Ya ain't gonna outwrestle the guy....and if you don't get him outta there early,..he wins.

Carwin has to land one early and hope that he can hurt Brock,...or it will be over quickly.

There isn't any heavyweight in MMA who can match Lesnar on the ground except Fedor. The only chance for any heavyweight today other than Emelianenko to beat Lesnar is to (A.) Be able to stay on your feet with Brock until you land something to hurt him and then take him out on HIS back,...or. ....(B) Be able to get back onto your feet and refer back to (A.)

I know Mir pulled it off...but imo, right now. ..NOBODY in the heavyweight division can submit Lesnar on the ground,...unless they hurt him bad before it goest to the ground.

Dude is just too massive, athletic, powerful and good cardio.

Those people are the majority. Fedor has no pulling power in North America, and without the UFC marketing machine behind him, his numbers will continue to be low. He is becoming irrelavent.

If these socalled "fans" dont know who he is then what is there to be worried about? Fedor has been doing his thing outside of the UFC since his career began in Rings. Wheres the problem? Imagine that the greatest heavy of all times but he's irrelavent because he doesnt have the UFC marketing machine behind him?
