UFC has the monopoly. AND they should. They got all this started.

But it sucks that they are the WALMART of MMA.

    So...it goes.
ALL the best fights are going throught White and the UFC.

That being said......Fedor and Mousassi will be scrutinized, despite their greatness..until ruling the UFC.

    Not fair though.

Man, I'm just beggining to get into this. Lemme ask you a Q: Who owns Strikeforce, Showtime? Who?

I'm just curious and plan to read up on some of this. But yeah, last Sat. was a great night for this sport, I thought. The best fight was the Melendez fight. IMO

I'm watching the Strikeforce/Showtime gig very closely because I think they have growing potential. I'm torn as to whether I think MMA should be dominated by UFC or more orgs. Anymore then two orgs and MAJOR boxing like issues will be created and people WILL go off UFC.

Strikforce do have potential but the UFC recently has been buying up all the former names in MMA Tito Vitor Baroni etc. Unless Strikforce can develop their stable they'll go to the wall. Im not sure they can come up with the kind of revenue that Fedor has signed for.

The UFC may have started MMA but the first shows were small like the ones in Japan, then the sport got big in Japan and the Pride shows over extended themselves and went bust and were bought by the UFC, but the UFC can't get all the talent

MMA companies and clubs are spawning all over the world now, the next big MMA company will come from Europe.

It's embarrassing how uninformed you are. Zuffa did not start anything.

The state of MMA is horrible. Idiots like you keep defending these criminal and bankrupt failed casion owners. How is this good?

Zuffa is not good for anything, certainly not MMA. They've done nothing but make an MMA event into a WWE television show.

Will MMA grow up? Not until we rid the sport of the Fertittas.

the freittas' took a major gamble in buying ufc, and their gamble's paid off. the question is how much does ufc crush the competition to where no one can compete or grow any new stars.

Strikeforce need Fedor and Mousasi to keep winning in great fashion.
If Cung Le return, same thing for him.
Even Jake Shield or Nick Diaz I don't know. Just to make wonder the fan how they would do vs UFC champs, even if I just see Fedor beating the UFC champ, with maybe Mousasi but let see Machida vs Shogun

  9. The UFC is a major burdon to the growth of this sport.

They will soon astroturf their own champions *coughlesnar* as opposed to them appearing out of the natural order of things.

UFC is the superbowl of MMA. I don't know why fedor won't sign with them. Even a 2-3 fight contract. Beat lesnar and couture then retire:lol:

The UFC reminds me of ECW and OVW all rolled into one. Its all about the brand and the push..
