After JMM won the lineal championship at 135, and Pac won the lineal at 140, they should have met in the middle and fought.

Pac vs Cotto and JMM vs PBF @145, wtf is the point? Those are good fights but Pac vs JMM anywhere between 135-140 would have been truly amazing.

First thing first, this series is already finished... 1st fight a draw and 2nd fight an SD win for PAC... JMM already has 2 chances to prove his worth against PAC... Yes, those were very close fights but PAC got it...

If there's a 3rd fight, PAC winning it again doesn't mean anything... JMM winning it means a 4th fight is needed...

With PAC having 2 fights more left (after Cotto) before calling it quits, I rather want to see PAC fighting other big names in boxing (PBF, Mosley or a Cotto rematch)...

who cares if the series is "finished"? That just boxrec talk. Did you actually watch the fights? These guys are seperated by 1 point over 24 rounds. Its the best fighter in the world fighting the 2nd best fighter in the world. Both at their best. Both coming off the best win streak in their career. Pac can fight Mosley, Cotto, and PBF but those fights will always be either Pac too small or his opponent too drained. They are not made from the same mold in terms of size. If you're looking at it purely from Pac's point of view, then yea those are the fights you wanna see. But from a boxing standpoint, its Pac - JMM.

JMM and Pac have been fighting in the same weight categories since 2003. They are coming off some of the best performances in their careers. They are the 2 best fighters in the world. Its a perfect style matchup. Its one of the best fights ever to be made. And the beauty of it is that its already happened twice.

Not only that PAC-JMM series is already finished but considering PAC has 2 fights left after Cotto, it's obvious PAC will be entertaining BIG money fights only for his last 2 fights... If JMM can offer more money to PAC compared to PBF, Mosley or Cotto (rematch) then well and good we will have another exciting PAC-JMM fight... But I doubt GBP/JMM can outbid PBF, Mosley (maybe?) or TopRank/Cotto...

JMM chances is also very small specially if he loses to PBF...

All JMM can do is upset PBF or if he loses to PBF, pray that PAC loses to Cotto...

But the fact is Marquez has already shown some *****s in his armour in his last two fights. He barely eked out a win (although impressive KO) while he was trailing behind. Pac is no Casa nor Diaz. Pac at 140 has improved tremendously and a win against aging and slow will only confirm what we knew all along. It does not add up to his legacy because there will aways be critics who will discredit Pac's victory as fluke. Take a page on his last two fights against Morales. Or even dela Hoya and Hatton. Pac has not beeen given credit by these purists of boxing. Pac has stepped up on a higher plate, how about Marquez? Pac has never been knocked during the last 10 years while Marquez has been knocked down 5 times already.

If JMM knocks a guy out in the 9th and wins 4, 5 or 6 rounds in the process, then thats a dominating win. Thats not "barely eeking out a win"

Also, acting like Pac didn't add to his legacy by knocking out Morales twice is garbage. Last I checked, Pac got fighter of the year honours for knocking out Morales twice. Just cause a bunch of clueless tards think Morales was shot at 29 doesn't make it so.

And being knocked down doesn't mean anything other than losing 1 point. If the guy gets up and can fight on then thats all it is.

You're right. But the fight was fiercely competitive until the KO. That's what I was tryin' to say last night about experience shining through for Marquez.

Marquez got tagged all night and was defenseless until Diaz sustained a cut which revealed the heart of a little bull. Put Pac in his place with all his relentless and audacity; I don't think JMM will survive those rounds. Aging Casa gave Marquez a lot of trouble until he got tired and was knocked out. Pac is still young and at 140 Pac has shown that he has pops in his punches and carried his speed and power. Will they ever give credit to Pac if he wins again in 140? I don't think so. I've here long enough to witness how haters discredit Pac's wins. I'd rather they fought in 2006 and 2007 before JMM fought Casa and Juan Diaz because no one will say JMM was destroyed by PBF, Casa and Juan. I'm sick and tired of people who haven't even step on the ring discrediting great performance of a great fighter. Another fight is not necessary but when it comes, so be it.

First of all, styles make fights. Pac is a good style matchup for a guy like JMM, Casa isn't

Secondly, I don't see the same fights you are seeing. Casa managed to win a couple of close rounds sneaking his left in there when JMM got overanxious but JMM wore him out and knocked him out. That was a dominant win also. They fight 12 round fights for a reason.

Both Diaz and Casa made a couple of rounds competitive but in neither of those fights was JMM ever in serious trouble. Neither landed any shots that had JMM hurt except for maybe 1 left hook by Diaz in the 1st or 2nd round. "Marquez got tagged all night"? what were you watching.

I thought both Diaz and Casa won only 3 rounds off JMM before getting KTFO.

I actually had a vido clips on the Diaz fight. Check this out. It showed *****s in Marquez's armor:

JMM has slowed down. I don't think he can survive Floyd's onslaughts let alone faster Pac.
