By no means is there any shame in losing to Mayweather and Pac back to back but the question is if Hatton does decide to come back to boxing, will he ever reach the top again (even at 140)? If he decides to come back, who should he face? Should he/will he attempt a rematch? Any of the other top fighters between 140-147 would KO him imo maybe Amir Khan?
I think he should bring the brit army over and fight cotto outdoors at yankee stadium, and call it a day....
I'd retire if I was him, maybe he wants one more payday and a decent crack at a win but hes never gonna be an elite fighter again.
If Hatton ever returns vs a good opponent, he will once again be brutally knocked out. His punch resistance is gone, and with the style he has, he will not be able to avoid those punches.
The only winnable fight I see for him that would bring him back up again is Juan Diaz assuming he beats Malinaggi. Everyone else that could raise his stock has too much of a strong advantage over him.
He's finished, he wont get a big fight, if he fights Amir and loses which I see happening his legacy will be non-existent.
Hatton can grab a belt at 140 again (I think he'd KO Khan), but as far as getting back to the lower end of The Ring's P4P list...forget about it.
Hope springs eternal for this Hatton hugger who has the rep of dissing Pac to promote his bum of a fighter. Hatton was never elite in the first place.
