Anybody seen anything of his 09/10/09 scheduled opponent Ionut Dan Ion? if so whats he like? i know hes 25-0 (13 KO's) but thats as far as my knowlage goes on him, Its a final eliminator for Alexanders belt so im rooting for him, i think he could pick up a belt soon, definatly talented just needs stiffer opposition your views?
i never heard of him up until i went thee munroe martinez fight when he beat scott haywood and i have to say he was impressive reminded me a bit of roy jones with his relaxed style and matbe hes a bit lazy, seen him fight once since but he was impressive so id like to see him step up in class
Although others on here will tell you different, Olusegan is going nowhere fast. He doesn't have a huge amount of skills and his sloppy pressure wouldn't even get him anywhere near Khan. Luckily Alexander looks pretty sloppy as well.
I've started to change my mind on Ajose, he's looked reasonably good in his last few outings and I'm looking forward to him stepping up. Don't know anything about his next opponent, but by going to Romania they are showing willing. Should he win the eliminator will Alexander defend against him or vacate to fight 'names'? If he pulls out Ajose should aim to win the belt, bring it to Britain and target Khan. That's the route I'd take.
Only Amir Khan can match him. Lucky they are in the same diivision now so we may get a light welter super fight after all.
Fleaman I know you made these comments to wind me up because I have been a bit quiet recently. Ajose as you know is highly skilled, fast, a great ring general with bags of heart. Frankly he would stop Khan in my opinion.
The only guy whose name I recognise on his record is Chris Henry.... who has been iced by pretty much every good fighter he has faced..... and he took him 8 rounds.
Ionut Dan Ion is an unbeaten fighter as well therefore that tells me that he does not know that he can be beaten hence he needs to be taken seriously. 2 unbeaten fighters putting everything on the line that is what is all about.
Ajose is now approaching 30 years of age and is still fighting at domestic level. Some believe that he has the ability to get to the top but with, presumably, only around 10-12 fights left in his career (In which he can achieve anything of note) his time is running out fast.
He is fighting against a fellow unbeaten fighter from Romania in the official WBC title eliminator is hardly domestic level.
