Team Williams Refuses 170 - Want Hopkins @ 165 - Claim Paul Walks Around @ 150

No way Hopkins can make 165 and it would be dangerous for him to do so at this stage of his career. Williams should just wait for Pavlik and fight a durable journeyman in the meantime.

 

I ****ing knew he walked around not much over the WW limit.

His metabolism is freaky, he's gonna need years to weigh 170, I think he'd weigh 155 for 160lbs. And something along those lines for 165.

 

I very much doubt he walks around at 150.

well i dunno about 150 but that's besides the point.

they are smart to say no to 170, i don't blame them. its not really fair to pw for him to make such a huge jump to face hopkins who would come into the fight at 180+. For all the talk that has gone on, williams camp doesnt even know how pw would handle the best mw in the world let alone the best lhw (and no thats not a comparison of skills between pav and bhop thats just about the size). The idea of this fight is a lot more interesting than the reality. hopkins should stick to dawson (assuming he wins) or adamek and pw should do what he wants at 160 and below (preferrably pav but they gotta do what they gotta do)

 

This "fight" was always a non starter. If team Williams can get some guarantees from Pavlik that he will be ready for a November date then they should take it and fight a durable journeyman in the meantime. Who else are they going to get in at short notice that makes giving up on the Pavlik fight worth while?

Anyone who believes Paul walks around at 150lbs is ******ed. That statement is about as bad as Pavlik having a 108F fever.

 

Should not be a 170. Tall Paul hasa great shot at the 160s.

 

People read a tenuous article on the Internet, add in their own wild assumptions and come to some ludicrous conclusions.

 

I don't think he walks around at over 160, and that's stretching it.

Both PW and Peterson said that he has a hard time putting on weight.

 

Hopkins should fight the winner of Dawson/Johnson.

 

There are no guarantees with Pavlik.
