When has he fought like that. In the fight against Pascal, for the first 8 rounds, Pascal was the aggressor, against Taylor he tried to counter, only when he had Taylor hurt did he come forward.

Fail. Pascal still looked good and had a decent workrate in the last rounds so you can hardly say he gassed. Froch just started boxing a bit more instead of windmilling and low and behold he controlled the fight much better.

You can see it in his face something wasnt right in the 8th round. Before that he looked comfortable slipping Froch's jab and getting inside and winning the exchanges. Then somethign happened when he couldnt slip the jab and he looked the worser during the exchanges. This leads me to believe he gassed. Not saying Froch's style and jab didnt take alot out of him. Fighters dont gas for no reason.

i've watched the fight quite a few times and i never got the impression Pascal gassed. Can't you just accept that it was down to Froch and give him some credit that he was turning the fight around rather than Pascal's failings being the reason for froch's win?

    credit where it is due......

Watch the fight again. For the first couple of rounds its Taylor who is the aggressor. For the majority of the fight it was back and forth, but most of the time Froch maintained his range.

Froch is not a pressure fighter.

Frochs like Pavlik a one trick pony, he comes forward all the time, so to the original poster which froch fights have you seen? Froch is a tough fighter who comes forward and puts pressure on his opponets by throwing hurtfull punch close, froch doesnt waste alot of punchs , but his opponents do keeping him off, he wont win this competition thats for damn sure, but i think he will beat dirrell

fair enough... my analysis of the fight wass that pascal was just as tough as froch, just as game and packed similar power, stamina etc... but froch was simply able to change the way he was fighting, decided to fight sensibly and work his way into range and it paid dividends. good fight though and i think they'll both go far.

    :-(

Froch likes to double pump the jab then follow with a straight right. Thats his best combo. Most of the time this is done at range. I rarely see him on the inside throwing punches or trying to back the other guy into the ropes. He takes so many punches to the face, because in his mind, he is a counter puncher. Thats why he fights out of that mongoose style.
