Pw is trying to be great. If he wins, look for him to either defend the ww title next, or win a title at 154.

Let's just hope they "put their foot down" a second time, and insist that Williams/Goosen wait at least a reasonable amount of time for KP to heal. Pavlik went way out of his way to make this fight happen. No way in hell would Arum have put up with Goosen's demands, but Pav kept insisting they make the fight. For well over a year Williams has claimed he wanted Pavlik. After Pavlik/Hopkins, PW said; "I would have done the same thing, but I would have knocked him out." Let's see how bad PWilly really wants this. Or is he all mouth.

Is He all mouth? He signed to fight Pavlik in which he back up his mouth. And why should Williams wait for an amount of time? If you talking about in nov then thats a no no cause the only date hbo has for nov is the 21th and you know Goosen is already busy on that date.

I doubt Williams is full of mouth...Maybe he's doing a little bit to much talking is the appropriate word...Wiiliams is no Hopkins but I still think he can put a fight.

Yes, HBO needs to do somthing to keep the fight going but you cant really blame Williams for pushing on with his career. I think Williams made it qutie clear that the want to fight on the given date.

The more I read from the Williams camp, the more irritated I get. Peterson's comments are outrageous, and Goosen's aren't much better. There is no viable reason to turn down a shot at the dominate fighter at 160, and then take a smaller fight for less money. Six weeks isn't that long. This fight is a career high payday, and the biggest opportunity of Paul's career. I realize Goosen has Ward fighting on 11/21, but he sure as hell would not be the first promoter who had two important fights on the same day.

What should Goosen do then? Missed the Ward fight and go to the Williams fight vs Pavlik? Thats not good at all. Ward just like Williams is fighting the biggest fight of his career. No way a promoter will missed that.

What? Is Goosen Ward's trainer? Cutman? Babysitter? Hand Holder?

Ward is Goosen's fighter in which Goosen is the promoter. Ward is going to fight Kessler on that same date in which IT BE WARD BIGGEST FIGHT OF HIS CAREER!!! So why should Goosen missed that fight and go to the Pavlik vs Williams fight instead? If Ward was fighting a journymen on that same date instead of Kessler then you have a point. It's not right for Goosen to choice which 2 fights he should be attend to watch one of his 2 fighters fighting on their biggest fights of their careers. So again nov 21 is not a good date for Pavlik vs Williams.

HBO still calls the shots cuz it is their money. They could pull the October 3rd and/or low ball the money like they did for Pavlik/Sturm. We shall see. I'd assume they have given Goosen a list of 'acceptable' fights.

I understand what you're saying but you have to look at it from both sides...IMO Goosen is looking out for his fighter...What if Pavlik isnt ready for the alternate date? Anything can happen so I honestly dont see the problem with Paul looking for another partner.

Also asking to Goosen to promote both of his fighter on the same day is kinda asking for to much IMO...I'm pretty sure Goosen wants to be at his fighters fights live. Thats really putting to much pressure on him to make him do such a thing...Again its not Williams fault that the fight has been postponed...Once Kelly gets this behind him, the fight will come off.
