Yes, I'm serious. He humiliated himself in so many ways on the Calvin Murphy broadcast.

 

So he muddled a few words around, big deal. He was probably trying to stifle his laughter at the idea of shot Jones thinking he can still make demands like he's some kind of superstar.

 

There's a beautiful irony to this quote in particular, and I'm pretty sure 60 to the winner, 40 to the loser is far from a demand.

 

Mind you he said "I mean how intelligent they are" immediately after.

 

Maybe to you, sitting at your keyboard, it doesn't seem a big deal but put yourself in the mind of Bernard. He's grafted his whole career, with none of the fanfare, to get where he is now. In the meantime Jones, who hasn't a meaningful win since Tarver 1, has managed to be KO'd twice, take a terrible beating from Calzaghe and beat up a few hasbeens, thinks he can still make demands for a fight he'd be lucky to have in the first place.

This is not a fight boxing needs. There are other fighters who deserve a shot at Bernard far more than Roy Jones.

 

notice he corrected himself immediately after saying that so you are clearly making a big deal about it. everyone knows bernard is a genius when it comes to boxing.

 

Lol didn't you hear him talk to some british reporter before the calzaghe fight where hopkins in anger said; "you are not on my intelligent level!!"

 

But to be fair to the man, he probably did not have the same chance as most people to learn english in school. He is rather sharp.
