I said this a while ago, Anderson Silva would knock Frank Mir out cold. There is little doubt in my mind. Awful awful fight for Frank Mir to take.

Agree. Anderson would make short work of Frank.

It's so interesting to talk about Silva because he moves up in weight so effortlessly and makes easy work of people who are great fighters. We don't exactly know how GSP will do moving up in weight yet, but I have faith he'll do the same.

Hope he doesn't fight Lesnar and get killed.

A Henderson rematch is really a great fight legacy wise, then a run at lt heavy. This friends bull**** needs to end

All you have to do is watch Mir vs Vera to understand what would happen to Mir against Silva.

Mir would smash Silva IMO as long as he fights smart and takes it to the ground. Mir first off is a hell of alot bigger and stronger and is light years better then Silva is on the ground. Mir would get an easy takedown, pass Silvas guard and finish by armtriangle.

What about Manhoef? I always wanted to see how Anderson would do against a guy capable of matching him strike wise, and freaky strong on the ground. Likely Anderson would submit him, but if they traded a bit, would make for a very interesting match to watch. Manhoef can be very sloppy at times, but he's also extremely durable and quick.

Acting like Mir would be an easy win for Silva is a bit silly. Its not unlikely that Silva could knock him out, but it's also not unlikely that if Silva gets put in situations that lesser skilled and smaller grapplers have put him in that Mir would finish pretty quickly.

That's interresting. I would say Anderson Silva by TKO 1. But its a fifty fifty fight for me, if its end on the ground, then sub 1 Mir.
The frank mir of today is much better than the one who got Koed by Vera

It would be impressive to beat Mir but he would be weight hopping too much and not establishing a good strong legacy.

He should go back to 185 and fight Henderson. If he wins again then he should face Belfort (should he beat Franklin). If Silva posts a good win then he can fight him too. Those are 3 great legacy fights. Then he can make an attempt on 205.

185 is not lacking with Henderson and Belfort (should he beat Franklin). Even Silva might come into the mix.

I prefer the Henderson fight over the Mir fight.

I dont see it. Mir got grossly overrated in two fights. The first when he knee barred Brock even though he was getting his ass handed to him. And the Nog fight which meant nothing. Mir is still the same nonchalent fighter that turns up when he feels like it. He has a very good ground game but other than that i think he gets talked about way too much.
